Is Duvnjak injured? I don't see him on the Wikipedia squad page.

Re: EHF Euro 2018 - Croatia

I'd rather have us lose all three games than to go out in such an embarrassing way.

Those last 15 minutes against Serbia were a complete self-destruction. Two Euros in a row this exact thing happens, but at least this Euro doesn't have any Olympic qualifier seats...

Re: WCh France 2017

The NHF should never have accepted the entry to this, not after having had Mr Moustafa on treat on a conference just short time before the announcement [-X They should've asked for a final playoff among the ones that missed out or the highest ranked or so. Never mind the 4th place in the Euro, if t...

Re: Rio 2016 Olympics - men

It makes no sense to me that only every other Euro and WCh gives Olympic spots... these tournaments happen every two years, both should give spots instead of just the one closest to the next Olympics. And the IHF really needs to ditch the qualification tournaments and just give the best performing t...

Re: Mens EHF EURO 2016 Poland - Final Tournament

I would never have bet on Germany winning this comfortably. Probably nobody expected Germany to stay out of the top 4 forever, but winning gold so quickly with so many injured key players is just absurd.

Re: Mens EHF EURO 2016 Poland - Final Tournament

Norway withdraw the protest based on fair play that the match should be decided on court and not behind closed doors afterwards...it would be a mess anyway... Yep, u can't take this sport seriously, judges can see whatever they feel for, and officials payed for watching almost one thing: -not too m...

Dissinger and Weinhold are injured and will not play anymore.

I don't think I've ever seen a team as badly hit by injuries as this Germany.

Fantastic result by Norway! OGC spot is now practically guaranteed and semifinals even look within reach. They just have to seal the deal against Macedonia now.

Re: Mens EHF EURO 2016 Poland - Final Tournament

I've actually heard of there being two promising keepers in there, but I have to question the standards we hold our goalkeepers to, so we'll see... most of the hype has been around the outfield players. Some of them have been tearing up the Icelandic league recently, and one (Egill Magnússon) has al...

Re: Mens EHF EURO 2016 Poland - Final Tournament

Iceland will be the Biggest failure regardless of who else goes home, but they were probably overrated. I mean, they haven't had a result against a contender in a game that mattered to both teams since 2010. And they will now have to rebuild, many of their star players will retire, and there is lit...

Re: Rio 2016 Olympics - men

I miss South Korea, but Qatar qualifying directly means that there'll be one less team competing for the Olympic Qualification spots in the 2016 Euro. As far as I understand it, the Olympic qualification spot priority hierarchy for European teams is Direct > WCh > Euro. So in 2016, Macedonia, Serbia...

Iceland has been really impressive. After winning the European Open and doing this well in this group, I'm hopeful for the future. There are big talents on that team.

Re: WCh 2015 (Qatar) - Qualification

Worst Iceland team ever? Maybe not, but I don't think they have been this poor for over 30 years. Sad! ](*,) You don't have to go back 30 years, IMO our team played worse in the 1995 WCh. The 90s was a bad decade altogether for Icelandic handball. But yeah, this was still really bad. Our offense co...

Re: WCh 2015 (Qatar) - Qualification

Ugh, this is just ridiculous. I do NOT want to see this "Qatari" team get a spot in the Olympic qualifying tournament, much less in the Olympics themselves. The IHF needs to restrict their nation-switching regulations before this crap destroys international handball. But of course that's n...

Re: WCh 2015 (Qatar) - Qualification

Another disaster for IHF: Germany was given the wild card because of their economic importance and tv attendance. But today german public television ARD/ZDF announced that they will not be broadcasting the WCh 2015 because they couldn't reach an agreement with rightsholder BeIN Sport. According to ...

Re: WCh 2015 (Qatar) - Qualification

But what I cannot figure out is why the Saudis got the other place. South Korea finished above the Saudis, didn't they? The IHF say that the Asian Federation nominated Saudi Arabia. Did they? Why? Maybe the IHF is hoping that the Saudis will fill the stadiums since they're a neighboring country. Ri...

Re: WCh 2015 (Qatar) - Qualification

IHF is corrupt and lacks any logic, I know, you don't have to prove it. The method of excluding Australia and inviting Germany was just a joke. Just too amateur...Though I won't feel sorry for Australia. Automatic place for what? Did they make any progress during decades? Anyway, I was talking abou...

Re: WCh 2015 (Qatar) - Qualification

Hungary has applied for the vacant places. 2. Two best non-qualified teams from last EC: Iceland, Hungary - why EC? Why? Because that's what would happen according to the rules before the IHF changed them to throw in Germany. Unless the IHF wants to avoid a lawsuit from Iceland (which is pretty lik...
