Is the game even broadcast in Hungary? If it isn't, there is no chance for an official stream either.

Maybe someone will stream it via their mobile phone on facebook - but i'd say that's somewhat unlikely...

On now, with quite a few spectators for an U18 test game - probably school children, I guess.

Unfortunately the sound is very psychodelic. :colors:

Do we know where the World Championships are going to be streamed/broadcast yet? I have a feeling it's going to be another stupid "beIN Sports own the rights, but they're not going to show it" situation.

The IHF always provided a stream for countries without a TV contract - but you may have to wait until the very first day of the tournament for them to make it public. Two years ago they didn' even make it public (at least I never read an official statement) that it was all live on eversport.tv.

Not going to be the case anymore. Check this out:

New TV Contract

MP&Silva was announced as the winner of the new global TV/Media rights contract and they will be responsible for selling rights to nations world-wide. Notably, the award was made not just for 2 cycles (2019 and 2021), but for 4 cycles (2019, 2021, 2023 and 2025) meaning the MP&Silva will be the go to agency for the next 8 years.

The previous contract had been with beIN Sports and on multiple occasions they had struggled to sign deals with other networks/channels in nations that did not carry the beIN Sports network. This resulted in no network broadcasts of the 2017 WC in Germany. And, even in nations (e.g. USA) where beIN Sports has a network, they often chose to not broadcast any WC matches

MP&Silva will simply broker rights to networks world-wide for the IHF. Terms of the deal were not provided.

However, this seems to come into effect for the 2019 competitions.

7:50 pm CET in Romania 20:50 (?)...

It says "16:50" here. So I assume the webpage automatically converts the time to the time where someone comes from.

Anyway, the first broadcast starts at 16:50, the game at 17:00 CET. So it should be 17:50 and 18:00 Romanian time.
