I have no idea. She doesn't say anything about her reasons, but I'm guessing that she wants so start a family.Germanicus wrote:I can't read Macedonian, yet I double checked the name (actually I can read, I know the letters, but I don't understand what I read). Andrea Čanađija (born Čović) is 24 years old. Why on earth should a player in her age finish her career?

I think everybody in this forum will be happy to hear that Suzana Lazovic ended her career due to constant injuries.

Actually I am not. Yes, I'm happy not to see her any more playing "handball". But on the other side I'm sad about a 26 years old girl who has to give up.
In conclusion, I declare that EHF must be destroyed

Ekaterina ILINA (1991, cb; Rostov & RUS NT) stops her handball career. She has serious health problems. She made an emotional speech at the press conference after the today's game against Austria. She said she hopes to come back in some time, but there were obvious signs of anxiety in her words.

Yes, it's very sad. Hopefully she will fully recover.

I agree with you, it is sad when injuries end a career prematurely, but at the same time, this is the kind of ‘Stanka Bozovic’ player that handball can do without. Sad to see her go due to injuries, but thankful to those who don’t have to risk injuries being tackled by her on the field.

Re: Players who will finish with their careers
Ilina said she could come back if she will get good treatment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cboEOVOvycM
She was very emotional, wishing her good luck. She should follow Neagu's fight! I don't think there is no healing for her.

Re: Players who will finish with their careers
Yvette Broch decided to take a break in her career. She quits handball for a while.
Her contract is suspended in Győr (but still valid), the club accepted her decision and they hope she will return to handball as soon as she feels herself mentally and phisically well again.

That press conference upset me a lot for some reason. I hope she finds the strength necessary (both physical and mental) to come back stronger one day.

Re: Players who will finish with their careers
It is just hard to believe.
Why didn't she make such decision before the summer when Győr would have options to get a replacement?
Maybe she is not happy with Danyi as a coach...

Re: Players who will finish with their careers
Very sad to hear about Yvette's mental and physical issues. I hope she gets better soon.
She's played practically alone in her position during the last two years in Gyor, too much pressure and exhaustion for her to handle.
