Exciting times at Team Esbjerg

It's sad to see Kvies leave FCM but I guess they couldn't keep both her and Trine Østergaard in the squad. And Østergaard is just class now

Re: Transfers 2013/2014
You forgot Susanne Kastrup Forslund
And 3 of their players should come back next season (after their childbirths): class keeper Grimsbø, second keeper Staun, and the pivot Zachariassen...
Nikoline Nielsen is the biggest deception for them this season because I think they had expected much more from her, especially the shots at long distance.

Re: Transfers 2013/2014
A bit of a scoop from Mendy's twitter:
"nous étions pas d'accord sur la duree de prologation du contrat ce qui a entrainer d'autre points de desaccord"
They did not agree on the prolongation terms.
"+ le faite que l'equipe de l'an prochain à du mal a se mettre en place c'est vraiment à contre coeur que je m'en vais."
Plus the fact that the team for next year is taking shape with difficulty (say whaaat
). She regrets leaving Buducnost.
@emil Sorry! Both tweets are about Budu and about why she left.

^ I think Nina is doing a very good job at Krim and she's one of the most valuable players there, so I hope she will chose to stay.

Well, that doesn't come as a surprise to me, as Tiselj used to give her a lot of playing time while he was coaching Budućnost back in 2007/08.

Re: Transfers 2013/2014
Dutch pivot Yvette Broch has prolonged her contract with Metz for next season:
http://www.republicain-lorrain.fr/sport ... ste-a-metz
On this article, Yvette said her friend Nycke Groot has tried to convince her
to join FCM. But she refused because she loves the city of Metz and her club.
She also fears to have boring time in Denmark...
Broch has declined an offer from Krim as well.

What would FCM do with another pivot? Haven't they extended with both Thorsgaard and Svala?

It took a long time before Svala has prolonged her contract with FCM. Perhaps Broch was
only a solution of replacement in case Louise didn't extend...
And yes, Thorsgaard and Svala have prolonged their contract with FCM

If you want my opinion, Yvette Broch is really a good pivot as I saw a lot of matchs of
Metz.

Muller has got offers from Krim and Gyor but she chose less money and the possibility of further education in Leipzig. (info from HC Leipzig)
Krim is interested for Tatari and A. Bulatović, so the question is what will be happen with Worz..

The only problem is that there's the limit of foreign players in Russian league: you can use only 4 foreigners in the single match and only 3 are allowed to play on the field simultaneously. Astrakhanochka now have Eric, Knezovic, Nikcevic, Yankovskaya and Artyukovich. So in case of signing somebody, somebody else will be forced to leave (my first choice for leaving is Nikcevic).
I bet that foreign and especially Balkan players (because of quite easy communication and similar lifestyle) started to like Russian Superlague a lot. In clubs, which are largely donated by sponsors /Rostov, Astrakhanochka, Zvezda/, there are salaries you can compare with some top European clubs. As for Astra in addition, governor of the Astrakhan region is big handball fanatic and he wants to have strong team in 'his' town. I'm quite sure that Barjaktarovic, Knezovic, Eric and comp. all are having great times in Russia and they recommend all the friends to make a deal there, too

Russian Superleague is quite 'forgotten' league, but the top leading teams making it one of the strongest league in the world. If top 4 can keep its strength for the next season and if Astrakhan will sign such a players like Tatari, there will be 6 great teams in the league, because I'm sure Kuban will progress under Trefilov.
