I leave the list opened...I didn't say which one is better, I mentioned her but could have been any other player.

So now the door opens even more for Dedu, she will probably be the #1 choice at the NT for the next many years, but Dumanska is there to fight, and she's only 20, Voicu might be a choice too, plus some juniors, but people here don't like to talk about juniors too much, so for now 3 good GK's should be enough, we are strong on this position.

That's sad news and far too early. She has barely passed 31 and would have has much more to give on the Romanian NT, I'm sure.
Annoying about Ungureanu as well, she's been a fixture since Hutupan (Dinu) reigned supreme.

There was an interview with Thorir Hergeirsson, the Norwegian NT coach following the championship in December, where he lamented losing players from national teams too early (often because of the pressure of simply too many tournaments, championships and games), stating that he wanted goalkeepers to be available until 40, and field players to at least 35-36. I would tend to agree, as experience in high-level players become invaluable when two teams are evenly matched otherwise.

I guess we all know what it means.

I don't actually understand what happened to Serbia after 2014. Is it just because of disagreements with the former coach Boskovic that Cvijic, Damnjanovic, Tomasevic, Lekic and several more are no longer willing to be NT players?
Seeing Serbia these days is just really sad, somehow these issues should had been fixed, so that the best players around would be available for the NT..

Sanja Damnjanović back on Serbian NT. Maybe Lekić too. She was selected for the NT training this week, but she had to cancel it due to "personal reasons". What that means remains to be seen.

In other news, it looks like Dragica Đurić got fired. The new coach was supposed to be Ljubomir Obradović (the ex-coach of Montenegrin men's NT), but he wasn't officially named because of some procedural reasons. So, no one knows who the coach is now. It's all one huge mess, but nothing new for Serbian NT.

At the press conference after the today's league match, Astrakhanochka's headcoach Grigorii Zaikin said that Lyudmila POSTNOVA may not play for the Russian NT anymore, preventively due to her current, poorer health condition.

Note that Zaikin is not only Postnova's coach, but also her husband.

When I started to read this I was hoping he'd been sacked. Astrakhanochka have an excellent squad, but Zaikin is a loser.
