Larvik has better reiting, Vardar was only 3 seasons in CL not enough to pass Larvik.

Rating doesn't matter, but CL results in last three seasons...

Don't worry, I know and wrote above... I just named one team as RUS1.

Three seasons yes, but I have somewhere in the back of my mind that the last season does not count. Which means, seasons 2012/2013, 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 are taken into account.
Larvik has a final, a MR and a FF (2. place), while Vardar has 0 (did not compete) and two FF (3. place).

So, John might just be right.

Yeah you are right... :)
So for 2016/17 ranking we count 12/13, 13/14, 14/15 seasons. I will need to calculate again and will post the pots. :D

The system is really odd..Its unbelievable Buducnost and Vardar are behind teams from Germany,Austria or France on that list, teams who dont have results in CL for so many years now...and two of the best teams in Europe barely get their spot because of what..their country doesnt have a decent league and high coefficient..its kind of absurd, imo.
But if they take into account the last 3seasons results,it makes justice :)

For EHF ranking they count results from all clubs in CL, EHF and CWC. So I only wonder how Hypo is still so high, maybe because of they CWC journey. But they will disappear soon.

There is an (old) document on the Danish federation (DHF) site that explains the points and bonus points rules for the ranking system back in 2003, and I'm guessing it more or less still applies. It's in Danish though I'm afraid.

Actually does the above document state that the club seedings are not based on the same three seasons as the ranking, and instead 13/14, 14/15, 15/16 seasons should apply.
And btw this site has a cross tournament team ranking (based on 5 year I think) where ex. Hypo is showing their drop.

This list is funny because it shows teams that don't exist anymore, also FCM and Vardar are mentioned twice on this list, they are high on this list as 7th and 11th and also low on 175th and 91st place.

Yes indeed. And it must be more than 5 years accumulation then because Ikast Brande ceased to exist and changed to FCM after 2009. Ha-ha even Slagelse is on the list - I must admit I didn't go much below top 50. :-"

I wouldn't be surprised if they give a direct place for Savehof, and remaning 3 places to be decided on Qual.Tournaments - 3 groups x 4 teams. Anyway, that would mean breaking rules, but that's EHF. :)
Or they will exclude 1 team from those five, and make 4x3 teams qualifications.

What about Zagorje? Why aren't they interested?

Because of losing direct place in Group stage and participation fee of more than 30k euros for playing in qualifications. So they chose to play in EHF Cup.

Glassverket has nothing to do in Champions Leauge. They have lost their main coach, J. Kristiansen (sister of FCM, Veronica Kristiansen), Nørstebø, Brattset (All to Vipers Kristiansand) And LW Bakken Walhquist to Team Tvis Holstebro.

Hoping for Rostov & Krim at least, and Leipzig could make some trouble in CHL too.

This is a fee in addition to travel costs? Deary me, no wonder new clubs have trouble reaching up. In football, clubs receive money in the CL, they don´t pay..

Yes. But in football the TV rights are sold for a lot of money. And in handball we have EHF TV. Can you see the difference?
In conclusion, I declare that EHF must be destroyed

^ Yes and no. EHFTV is geo-blocked in countries where TV rights are sold.

Yep, Savehof seems to have a secured spot since it looks like 2 or max 3 qualification groups as expected. I don't regard this a break of rules though, due to the amount of declining teams. :-"
