Danish League 2016/2017

Postby masch1 » Tue Jun 28, 2016 8:55 am

So I see the news sites have started posting news for the upcoming season and thought I'd open a new topic, since some of us don't have OG to focus on ](*,)

Most of all in the upcoming season, I look forward to see some of the injured players, who missed last season, return, like Offendal: http://europamester.dk/godt-nyt-offendal-staar-skarpt/

Skanderborg will be up for a big challenge, and honestly I only see them competing with Ringkøbing, but they have a good attitude: http://www.tv3sport.dk/sport/handbold/n ... nedrykning

I hope they will win some matches and not go through a season like Sønderjyske.

I always have great respect for any club which has the priority to develop their own young players and giving them responsibility in an handball court. I think it's vital for the future of the Danish NT as well.

So good luck for Skanderborg. Unfortunately, they lost Amalie Grøn (leaving to VHK). They still have some interesting young players but the most talentful is Kristina Jørgensen. Great potential player but she's very young maybe too young.

I fear that their young ages will be their weakness in the Danish League. It will be very hard for Skanderborg, even against Ringkøbing...

Ringkøbing lost 3 important players: Neesgaard, Biltoft and Nikolic. But I also think they have recruited some interesting players: Maibom, Brogaard, Julie Gantzel, Sille Thomsen, Ek, or Swedish keeper Friberg...

Honestly, I still consider Ringkøbing is superior compared to Skanderborg. Unfortunately. But we'll see maybe the *grøn* jersey will surprise me. :)

Yes I agree that Ringkøbing will be slightly better. Maybe they can challenge TTH too, it's possible :) But they need to hope everyone else underestimate them...

I absolutely cannot wait for the new season. Excited about our next season. Last season was unlucky in every imaginable way, so hopefully no terrible injuries or 10 tight losses in a row anymore.

I'm just excited because we have so many exciting players in the backcourt and just throughout the team, if you ask me. Okkels, Tranborg, Pontoppidan, Hjort, Amalie Jacobsen, Mogensen, Stine Kjær (she might feature until Lærke is back) and then Lærke when she returns.

Also we have one of the best defenses in the league when all players are fit. We'll be fighting for a playoff-spot unless something goes wrong.

In general I'm excited for the level of play we'll have in the league. It should be better than last season.

Like the rest of you guys I really look forward to the upcoming season. Not least to see some of the best Danish players and talents back again after their knee injuries - most of them will be back right before or right after the season starts. Lærke Christensen (SK Aarhus), Simone Petersen (FCM), Lærke Møller (Esbjerg), Nadia Offendal (HC Odense) and hopefully Burgaard will return at full capacity.

Last season was a big disappointment i every aspect. The Danish NT failed miserably, there were more injuries than ever, the level of the matches were quite low and Team Esbjerg won the championship. I usually don´t really have a "favorite team", but don´t care much for Esbjerg since they don´t have any interesting Danish players.

Esbjerg and FCM will be the two best teams the upcoming season. There is little doubt about that. However, the other teams potentially look very strong.
Viborg HK has some solid reinforcements in Stine Bodholt, Strömberg, Haugsted.
Silkeborg-Voel has improved their "weak spot" tremendously with the three lefthanders Stine Skogrand, Louise Lyksborg and Julie Aagaard.
København Håndbold will undoubtedly perform better this season, because their team is solid.
NFH already has the duo Kristina Kristiansen and Gravholt, but with Johanna Westberg, Sara Iversen and Pernille Holmsgaard their defense looks much better. And of course Hagman will be there + finally a quality leftwing in Lærke Nolsøe.
HC Odense is a bit of a dark horse. With Rodrigues they looked very solid, but without her they will struggle quite a bit. However, if they get Maria Adler and Offendal in good shape, then they are a force to recognize.
SK Aarhus will pretty much have the same team as last season. And this is a very solid squad with a lot of big, strong girls.
Randers HK might face some difficulties in the offense. They brought Maria Fisker, but still they need some quality in the backcourt. Mari Molid is mainly a defender and she will be very alone with Dalby and the very young Mie Højlund.

So the bottom three is:
Ringkøbing, Team Tvis Holstebro and Skanderborg - I´m fairly certain Skanderborg will be relegated. Their players are very talented, but much too young and inexperienced considering most of them are born between 1996-1998.

Anything new in the danish press @ this transfer? There's still no final decision regarding her future club? :?

I agree that it was in general a big disappointment. Especially NT and the injuries, and for me also that Copenhagen missed out on the play offs. I think there was also a few positives: TTH in europe, AM Hansen at the WCH, Tranborg in NT after Christmas, and in the league, Rej after Christmas and that many youngsters got playing time and took responsibility. Will be interesting to see how they'll do next season.

Haven't read anything. Think they are still trying to sort things out (financially?). I find it kind of hard to see Pytlick play with a player who doesn't want to be in the team. On the other hand maybe he can persuade her, I don't know.

For wich club does Larke Nolsöe play? She's great.
In conclusion, I declare that EHF must be destroyed

First training day for Randers:
http://m.amtsavisen.dk/randers-hk/foers ... randers-hk

Of course without Mari Molid (due to the Olympic Games) and Mie
Højlund (in deserved holidays after a successful Junior WCh).

TTH Holstebro full squad photo for the next season:

And the photo of the 4 World Junior Champions here:

Exciting project but also big challenge for Krautmeyer. With only 2 foreign players and a lot of
young Danish talents. But they can surprise many teams as they won't be that weak if you look
clearfully on their roster. I with them good luck ! :)

Pytlick about the upstart. He says the aim is to be in top 6, and that he thinks he has the players, he needs (but no word on Rodrigues or a replacement): https://www.facebook.com/hcodense/?fref=ts

Good to see Kastrup taking care of Lange and the rest of the youngsters. Anne Brinch in Fredericia will be exciting :)

I wouldn't forget about Martine Moen. She has the potential to score 9 or 10 goals in each match.

And also, although Molid is considered mostly a defense player I think she is also a pretty good offense player, which she showed many times for Byåsen and the youth 90/91 national team.

Isn't it 3? Eriksson, Roberts and Wahlquist?

But anyway, I agree with you. Hope they won't end up in the bottom!

Photoshoot of Randers full squad:

Without Mari Molid of course. And Zinglersen is still expecting
to recruit a new back player. Is it really necessary ?

Anyway, RHK looks very interesting for the new season. :)

Has Zinglersen said he wants to recruit a new back player? Because the short answer is no. They don't need more.

Yeah, but their wording is weird. Sounds like he admits they don't really need a new backplayer but if a really good player shows up, then they will be interested.

And that's the same as above

But yeah. Would be weird with 4 left backs in their squad for example
