Here is a bit of an article on it (hope it works?): http://translate.google.com/translate?s ... il-tyrkiet

I hope it's just a clumsy translation because I don't like the "we have decided to move both games". I am sure the other team has a saying in it as well?

Why make so many competitions (3 or even 4 until recently), with access lists based on dubious and unsettled criteria, when so many teams can't or are not allowed to even chances.

I can only guess that non-participation will mean sanctions against the team or even the national association of that team. On the other hand the governing body probably wants to have as many teams and countries taking part as possible - because it looks 'good'.

Ok, that was for safety reasons due to the events in Turkey (normally this would be decided by the EHF) but still the Turkish side could at least choose a neutral ground if they really wanted not to throw away their chances, I guess.

On the other hand the governing body probably wants to have as many teams and countries taking part as possible - because it looks 'good'.

If they want to have many teams and countries maybe they should learn more from UEFA: dissolve the Challenge Cup and make more matches count as CL Qualification Rounds or EHF Cup Rounds. Maybe that way teams get more motivated and take their chances for upper-level rounds.

Will the match between H.C.M. Roman and Alba Fehérvár KC be streamed here? http://roman24.ro/

I remember the game between Roman and FCM was streamed there (two?) years ago.

It's already running and not yet geo-blocked. I say yet, because just over a year ago I watched a game there and the geo-blocking kicked in just as the match started. BUT, the stream didn't stop because the stream already started! :) So if you want to watch that match, just open it before the game starts (like now) and it should *fingers crossed* run through till the end.

Also, as I noted, most of the times the weaker (poorer?) team is the one that makes the travel to play both legs at the better team. So they DO BOTHER to spend two days and probably the other team DOES BOTHER to pay for it. Sounds very much like a conflict of interest enabled by the EHF.

I'm curious how people in handball see this, because I searched the Internet and couldn't find any discussions or remarks about this disturbing aspect. Everyone is very quiet. Why make so many competitions (3 or even 4 until recently), with access lists based on dubious and unsettled criteria, when so many teams can't or are not allowed to even chances.

Sometimes there is a simplier explanation.
The date of the matches are fixed by the EHF, but there is no handball court available that day. And no other place is available in the nearest towns! Most (if not all) of the teams do not own their sport arena!
That's what happened for the french team Issy Paris. they play the two matches of the first leg in Switzerland because their sports hall was not available (It can host other sporting events or not) and no other courts were available in the nearest cities!!!

Is it so hard to request or allow changing the day of the match, instead of letting so many teams practically give up on the competition? In other sports this is inconceivable or maybe even illegal.

Some nice pictures from SGBBM Bietigheim - Corona Brasov -> http://www.wolf-sportfoto.de/index.php/ ... ona-brasov

I see Albertsen teached them this Danish custom to bang against the walls in the locker room when they won. :-"

There's a video here from DHC Slavia Praha-Viborg but since it's restricted due to copyrights in DK, then I'm not sure if it's just clips or the whole match:

It's blocked in Hungary too. Another case of idiocy. There is nothing to copyright in a match.

Oh how ridiculous to block it, especially when some of the other videos from EHF cup are freely available to watch
