Norway's squad is not too strong. Three debutants (Kristine Breistøl, 23, Larvik, Kjerstin Boge Solås, 18, Tertnes and Silje Waade, 22, Byåsen), as well as many unexperienced national team players (Tonje Løseth with 4 matches, Marit Røsberg Jacobsen 2 matches), as well as many players back on the team after injuries, rejections etc.

It will be interesting to see Stine Skogrand, Maja Jakobsen and Vilde Ingstad back on the team, and since both goalskeepers from the Olympic squad is not in the squad, it will be exciting to see what Silje Solberg and Emily Stang Sando can bring to the table.

Line Jørgensen
Stine Bodholt
Louise Svalastog Spellerberg
Kathrine Heindahl

(Anne Mette Hansen, Anne Cecilie de la Cour, Louise Burgaard are injured and Rikke Poulsen still recovering from a concussion)

And the Danish B team for the first match against Norway B:

Althea Reinhardt

Yes Denmark played good defense and attack and wanted to win more than the Russians, I guess. Both teams also used their younger players, and Russia made many mistakes. Toft was pretty good.

Unfortunately Line Jørgensen got injured early in the match and was brought to hospital. Hope her wrist isn't broken, but it looked painful.

A weird and messy game. Silje Solberg was outstanding in the goal, and Herrem, Frafjord, Hegh Arntzen and Kristiansen all played well. Kristine Breistøl scored a nice hattrick in her debut, and Silje Waade did a nice defense match in her debut. Norway played without 10 of their Olympic squad-players (including Løke, Mørk, Bredal Oftedal, Aalvik Grimsbø, Lunde), France only missed Leynaud, Pineau and Lacrabère. A great two goal win for the unexpierenced Norwegian team.

PS: Goal of the match was scored by the french goalkeeper Cléopâtre Darleux, on an outstanding solo presentation. Video here: http://sport.tv2.dk/video/TWFsNDV3ZWI

X-ray showed that it wasn't broken. Although they are doing another scan today.

Good news for Line Jørgensen. Her injury is not serious so her participation for the Euro shouldn't be in danger: http://www.dhf.dk/Presse/nyheder/2016/O ... _skraekken

I haven't seen the match so I can't comment on it. But it is not a surprise.

Great news about Line :) I feared something much worse from the look of it.

However she won't play anymore at Golden League, and Klavs is in the peculiar situation, that besides la Cour and Burgaard, who are injured, and Celine Kristiansen, who was picked for development team but since "disappeared", the only remaining RB on B NT, Bøgelund, is apparently also injured. So I guess Klavs will have to pick a right handed to replace Line for the rest of Golden League. Then the question is who? A pity, cause Line started well and would have been fun to watch.

No no. They still have Mette Tranborg. Very talented. Maybe now she can get more time on the court. She really impressed me this spring in some of the matches Denmark played. Especially against Montenegro in March, in the Olympic qualification.

Mette can hardly be expected to play two full matches (+ a lot of playing time last night). She has already had her share of injuries and plays a lot on her club too, as far as I know (at least as long as Lærke Christensen is not 100% back). Besides, it seemed in advance that the plan was to include som players from the B NT, so now that Line is out, he will probably bring in at least 1 player, unless Anne Mette Hansen can play and he'll just bring her in and use Okkels on RB. And to be honest, last night was not Mette's best match in the attack, although she did well in defense. No doubt, she's a very promising player for the future though.

Personally, I can't help hoping we'll get to see Mie Højlund :)

Now I have watched the match. First, congratulations to Denmark, they played much better than recently. Mulle was outstanding :)
The Russian team was very badly selected, being a Kuban' player doesn't mean you are a good player. And I find it laughable that Sen was the best pivot - this is not against her who tried to do her best and did not fail. On the brighter side, Skorobogatchenko introduced herself to Toft. Well done Tonya =D>
