What's the deal with that shopping list that's on Vardar's wikipedia page? I know that anyone can basically edit that, but who knows, maybe someone knows something more. :?:

Transfers for the 2017-18 season
Isabelle Gulldén ?
Pernille Wibe ?
Alexandrina Barbosa ?
Nerea Pena ?
Daria Dmitrieva ?
Slađana Pop-Lazić ?

I am more disappointed that we won't get Baia Mares annual wishlist anymore. Life has lost it's meaning.

Don't let the disappearence of Baia Mare's wishlist trouble your heart, HB9, because there is hope: Dinamo is building a new team, they are currently in the 2nd Romanian League, and they want to buy Neagu and some other players that are said to be on CSM's list.

To HB9 : Baia Mare is rebuilding the team in second women handball liga and hope to acces in Liga Nationala in 2017. Now days has a friendship tournement in Cluj with some National Liga's teams and gained some encouraging results . The new name is Minaur Baia Mare and has mostly young (junior ) players all romanian players....so the team I hope will reborn from his own ashes...

To HB9 : I want to complete some informations though I feel you are ironical when you mentioned about Baia Mare's wishlist : in Romania there are to serias of second handbal division and in south division Rapid Bucharest fight with Dinamo Bucharest to straight acces in National Liga.

In an interview to Digi sport 31 12 2016 Christina Laslo show she want to leave her team U Cluj to a bigger club capable to fight for F4. She's very talented and ambitious and I wish her good luck and a happy year...

^ Regarding Baia Mare I could give you a wishlist of players for 2017-2018 season too, but most of the names ( to be read ALL ) depend on our promotion to the 1st league, which will most likely happen :D
And a little off topic : not all our players are Romanian, we have 3 girls from Ukraine, that have been playing for Baia Mare junior clubs since 2-3 years ago, I understood the nationality process is pretty thorough at their current ages ( 17-18), so their nationality is UA :)
Indeed we lost all the friendly matches at the Cluj tournament, but the display was really brave and promising, we lost -3 to U Cluj ( who will be a good team with new coach Pera ), -7 to Zalau ( 3rd place in the NL) and -8 to Craiova ( 4th place ) , I saw all the games, they will serve as an experience and confidence boost to our girls. We have junior/youth NT-level players on GK, RB, LP and LB, but only the RB is constantly selected ( Andreea Tecar, she played at the U18 WCh in Slovakia too )

Sola HK offered an extension of contract to Tonje Nøstvold. Besides, this Norwegian club has a big dream: signing with Camilla Herrem ! Well, it sounds very unrealistic.

As I said, HB9, there you have it, Dinamo București's wishlist to give your life purpose again:

Head coach: Mette Klit or Costică Buceschi
Players:
Ana Paula Rodrigues
Mayssa Pessoa
Yekaterina Ilyina
Anna Sen
Marit Jacobsen
Silije Waade
Eliza Buceschi, Gabriela Perianu + basically 3/4 of Dunărea Brăila
Irina Glibko

Their "project" plan is:
2016/17 -> win the 2nd league and promote to the 1st league
2017/18 -> 1.2 million euros budget, sign at least 1/2 of the players on the wishlist & get a top 3 place in the 1st league
2018/19 -> Champions League debut (?)

The speculations about Bella joining Vardar from the next season are louder and louder in the Macedonian media.

Even though I am a Vardar fan, I'm still skeptic about this transfer because I don't see Bella, Khmyrova, Lekic and Ilyina playing on the same position in one season. Even if Ilyina leaves the club (which wouldn't happen because the club invested in her 6 months ago), Bella, Lekic and Khmyrova are world class players so they wouldn't agree to play as a substitutes one to another.

Also, I would like to say that both, Lekic and Khmyrova contracts expire this year, but I think that Khmyrova will prolong the contract for sure because she is very close to Samsonenko (the president of the club) and Suslina ( ) who is also privately close to the Samsonenko family (we can see them hang out together every single day).

From the other hand, Lekic has an interesting history about prolonging the contract with the club. I mean last year, the club expected more from her, and even though she didn't fulfill their desires, they prolonged the contract with her for one year. But, its hard to say that she will leave too, because she is the fans favorite player and if she leaves the fans will be very disappointed. Also, after the last European championship when Serbia again decided not to call Damnjanovic, Lekic, Cvijic and Tomasevic for the national team and after Cvijic announced that she wouldn't play for Serbia anymore, there is a bit of hope among Macedonian handball fans that Lekic and Damnjanovic will start playing for Macedonia (even though I think that this is impossible).

p.s. After wikipedia, here is a link from a Macedonian Facebook page dedicated to handball, announcing the transfer bomb and saying: TRANSFER BOMB IN 2017!!! ISABELLE GULLDEN ONE STEP AWAY FROM VARDAR!!! https://www.facebook.com/MakedonijaNaSp ... =3&theater

Well, I know that everyone can post on wikipedia, but after this post on facebook, I think that something is cooking here. You know what they say: "Where there's smoke, there's fire".

Well, there is a problem with the national championships not just in Macedonia, but in all Ex Yu countries, and thats why this year they decided to form a Balkan League. So instead of national championship, we will have this league. So there will be more matches for her. Also, Skopje is smaller than Bucharest but its not that small as you think!

I POSTED THIS ONCE, BUT IM DOING IT AGAIN.

Yeah its official!
http://24rakomet.mk/?p=38544

Following the male SEHA league, the strongest women's handball teams from the Balkan region agreed to play in the Regional Balkan league.
At the begging, only four teams will play in this league: VARDAR, BUDUCHNOST, KRIM and PODRAVKA, but the organizers noted that in the future the league will expand.

Also, they noted that four FINAL FOUR tournaments will be organized, each by the one of the four participants:
1st tournament in Montenegro (15 and 16 January)
2nd tournament in Croatia (25 and 26 March)
3rd tournament in Slovenia (1 and 2 April)
The last one in Macedonia.

Let's hope that this time the league will succeed. :D
One life, one love - VARDAR

Do players really care about playing in a "strong league" ? If they do say it, it's often just a lot PR-babble in a press release.

I get the impression they are fine with not a lot of travelling, CL participation, and a pay cheque on top of that.

I understand you well, you don't want one of your favourites (Gullden) to leave your club/country (just like I wouln't want that to happen to my favourites either) and you hate to even think about it. But you have to admit that there is a possibility (a possibility!) for this to happen: Vardar has a guaranteed CL spot, not a lot of travelling (lots of free time for a player), money and (seemingly) they are the strongest team there is right now.
