I think there will be 13 direct places and 3 qualification places.

1 - Gyor, Vardar, CSM, Budućnost
2 - Larvik, Rostov, DEN1, Bietigheim,
3 - FTC, FCM, FRA1, ___
These one should be 100%.

I guess that Krim will get a direct place too. Probably Savehof too.

I checked the Danish Championship topic, and they wrote that DEN1 and winner of the regular stage (FCM) will participate in CHL next year.

How about Zalau? Not really CHL material?

Not a chance. I don't think this year there will be some Romanian team asking for a wild card.
Brasov is building, Braila (maybe) is rebuilding, Craiova is a good team but needs more and Zalau doesn't have so great ambitions for now.

I was wondering if Érd, the 3rd of the Hungarian Championship can apply for a qualification place?
They are much stronger than a Koprivnica or Hypo.

It is against the EHF 'will', I guess, 'cause they prefer more participants form different countries....

So Sävehof refused the spot in the Cup. Think they are betting getting that wildcard or quali-spot instead?

Then they would have surely asked for an upgrade to a CL-wildcard instead.

It looks like they just can't be bothered.

They lost the Swedish championship against Höör 65, so it would be a miracle (but not impossible) to see them playing in CHL next year. IMO this is a big f.ck for them, because they could have been in Main Round without any qualification tournament.

I like Savehof, their presence in CL was honourable and they do better from a year to another...they have a young team and I expect to be stronger and stronger getting CL experience.

Apparently Sävehof feel that the Challenge or EHF Cup isn't worth the money. CL is. They are still pondering whether to apply for a wildcard. According to hbkanalen they aren't so intrigued by playing the quali tournament because if they don't win it they are obliged to play the EHF Cup.

And if they finish 4th in a CL group they will also end up in the EHF-Cup. :-"

Just like in the EU, there is no Europe 'à la carte'. Either take it or leave it, but don't just take out the best bits.
And no one should be surprised either that european competitions might involve *gasp* long expensive trips to Russia.
idle banter.

Interestingly I do not see that at the male participants as the EHF seem to adore German clubs like hell...

EHF adores money. German clubs are money makers in men handball. I'm not sure if there is a country/ teams in country in women handball which could bring more money. You all know that in women handball the recipe is not that big. It's far far away from men's competition.
