So Lada Rostov was a most wanted final for me. It's a third time, when these two teams play in a final of Russian Superleague. Akopian never won with Lada a championship, Rostov won both finals with Lada in two matches. So I believe Rostov will win in a third final against Lada. The key factor will be how Bougeant diminish the influence of Dmitrieva and Vedochina.

Today, play-off for places 5-8, third matches:

Stavropolye-SKFU – Universitet Izhevsk 25:21 (12:8)

Stavropol’: Stepanenko (10/22) 1, Skladchikova (1/7), Lamzina (4/7) – Khvostuntseva, Koroleva 4, Nikiforova 3(2), Pastukh 1, Shebalkova, Sorokina 3, Shichkina 1, Kobleva 4, Ignatovich 4, Lunina, Strel’tsova 4.

Izhevsk: Poylova (16/36), Vaganova (1/6) – Reshetnikova 2, Kharskaya, Vakhrusheva 1, Surnina, Turgeneva 8(5), Beresneva 4(1), Trukhina, Zakiullina, Chuzhanova 5(1), Obukhovskaya, Portyagina 1.

Zvezda Zvenigorod – Dinamo-Sinara 28:25 (13:13)

Zvezda: Shulega (2/15), Anoshkina (1/6), Tikhanova (5/12) – Osipova 1, Vinyukova 1, Klimantseva 2, Listopad 5(2), N. Nikitina 7, Tserkovnyuk 1, Amel’chenko 1, I. Nikitina 5, Zakharova 1, Bogdasheva 4.

Dinamo: Vereshchak (3/10), Titovskaya (1/10), Panchenko (4/16) – Starshova 1, Alirzaeva 2, Markova 5(3), Baranova, Kolodyazhnaya, Sinitsyna 3, Krakhmaleva, Turusina, Kuznetsova 5(1), Brezhneva 2, Mukhina 3, Makina 4(1).

Zvezda should be very grateful to the referees (the same as yesterday), with correct refereeing it is far from certain that they'd have advanced. Anyway, well done Dinamo.

Russian referees in the most of cases support home team. It was a news for former coach Ian Leslie. I hope for the final will be two pairs Alpaidze/Berezkina and Volodkov/Zotin. Other are less qualified and sometimes biased to home team.

I usually quite like Alpaidze and Berezkina, but last year they were awful in the game against Kuban'. On the other hand, Volodkov and Zotin were a pleasant surprise this year.

What is it like in Russia, do Russian teams usually apply for the second spot in CL? Both these teams should be in CL! Will the matches be streamed live somewhere, and last question, what will the squad of Rostov look like next year?

Agree, honestly Rostov Don, Lada & Astrakhanochka all of them could really do some great results in CL. Top 10 at least

When Astrakhanochka won the title 2 years ago Rostov did apply for a wild card (and got one). Last year Lada didn't apply. I'm not sure about the reason.

There are no squads yet, at least not public ones. Or, to be more precise, I don't know about any.

If Rostov Don lost Lada in final series, so they will get wild card in CL like Brest in this year. If Rostov Don won final series, it will be very hard to enter the competition for Lada, because they have a lack of financial resources. Both matches are streamed on official site of Russian federation of handball, but you should have Russian IP.

Roster of Rostov Don:

Out Dembele, Barbosa, Bashkirova, Tsvirinko, Stepanova maybe

in Abbing, Kuznetsova
Ilina, Makeeva, Sen , Bobrovnikova, Kalinichenko, Managarova, Rodriguez, Maslova, Pessoa, Sedoykina, Mehdieva, Borschenko

Maybe someone from Rostov Don - 2 will join the team possible candidates Dulieva, Burmistrova, Shavman, Sobkalo

The most interesting question, which team will choose Dmitrieva?

She has a valid contract with Lada until the 30 June 2019.

You don't need Russian IP to watch streams at rushandball. It's sportbox.ru that is watchable only from Russia.

As far as I know via TV she is now in negotiating process, maybe she has 1+1 agreement.

Why not start with the EHF-Cup first?
