I read all your comments (thanks!) and for me it's clear now. Last year 3rd team from Hungarian Cup (Debrecen) got the ticket for EHF Cup only because finalists (Gyor and FTC) were going to play Champions League.

Now it's not the case for 3rd. Because one of Erd or Siofok will play the Cup Final, therefore Erd/Siofok will get EHF Cup spot from Hungarian Cup. Then bronze game has no value, the loser of Erd-Siofok semifinal have to get a spot for EHF through league. :) A logical scenario.

I would say probably this is not the case. Two years ago, Érd played in the final of the Hungarian Cup, but they qualified for the EHF Cup because of their 3rd place in the League. Fehérvár, which ended up 4th in the Cup, also qualified for the EHF Cup, also because of their placement in the League. So the rule might be: 3rd, 4th and 5th from the League, and the best from the first 3 of the Cup, that haven't been listed yet. If there's no such team, the 6th of the League qualifies.

But the pocketbook of the Hungarian Association only says that the leadership chooses the teams "based on their placement in the League, and in the Cup". So no concrete algorithm is given.

This looks like a never-ending saga. I just watched Siófok's monthly magazine from the 6th of February. The club's sports director says that if they will qualify for the Final 4 in the Hungarian Cup, that will mean a spot in the EHF Cup for them. And they did qualify. So maybe the 4th place in the Cup is good enough if the first 3 clubs qualify from the League.

And how about the final ranking of the domestic league by the end of the season? 3rd and 4th won't get any spot in EHC Cup? :-k :-k :-k

Yes, they qualify too. The logic is that Győr, FTC -> CL, Érd -> EHF Cup because of their (expected) 3rd place in the League, this way Siófok -> EHF Cup from the Hungarian Cup.
Also: 4th team in the League -> EHF Cup.
If Siófok ranks 4th in the League, then they qualify from the League, not from the Cup. In this case, 5th in the League -> EHF Cup.

This is my current understanding.

Kisvarda is doing great since Đonović arrived. We'll see him against Alba.

Despotović found herself in DVSC, 38 goals in 7 games, no penalties.
Hope she'll improve even more and deserve a CL/EHF team. :D

I agree, but against FTC she was brilliant,it was maybe one of the best matches in her career.Hope that she will stay first option on left back position in DVSC now when Jezhykava is recovered.

Although today Ferencvaros Budapest and Gyor met non-opponents, the Hungarian players are on a good track. I see progress on wings especially and tempo of play of course... =D>

Unfortunately our speed of play wasn't too great today :( And I would have liked to see more of Háfra in the second half.
