As a Hungarian I am very disappointed by this unfair decision.

It would be so much better if they could organise the final 4 each year in a different city like the UEFA champions league final in football...

That wouldn't work. It's not like mens handball where spectators come to watch top international handball. Most of the spectators in womens handball come to see their 'local' club (be it a city or a region - maybe country at best). If that club isn't there they wouldn't turn up in significant numbers.

Which in turn would create the next problem: No organiser would be willing to take such a risk and possibly end up with paying more than they earn through the event.
idle banter.

Yes you are right HB9. Let's hope that more people get interested in woman handball in the future.

UEFA make it work with their women's tournament and God knows they're not showering them in money. I mean, their method of picking countries to hold the finals is notoriously flawed (up until this year it was attached to the men's Champions League final which is ridiculous and this year's final was in Hungary who neither have a top club nor a national team strong enough to even make it to the Euro's, so placing it there seems illogical – but that's UEFA in a nutshell, just look at the men's Europa League final in Azerbaijan this past season) so it would obviously have to be placed in a country where handball is a thing and the EHF would have to put work into creating hype around the event but it's not impossible.

Going for Hungary for another five years is just lazy and unjust. The three non-Györ teams of the coming five Final4 tournaments will try to win in spite of its location and it shouldn't be like that. Györ have a strong team but they also get an unfair advantage by always playing the final two games in front of a home crowd. Again it shows that the EHF value money over a fair competition.

It is about 5 - 6 teams which usually can reach F4 , why not host nominalization one of these cities...of course Gyor "assured" 100% certitude....of qualification among the big 4...of financial succes....and playing the big final. (all tieded )

I feel bad, sorry for the girls from Vâlcea that won the championship but will not play in CL because they had to leave because of those Romanian Federation Criteria.

I see someone else did the last two social media roundups on the EHF site. It's very balanced now with (seemingly) all the teams/players getting attention.
