Believe or not, Egypt won third consecutive Youth African Champs :!: , this time they beat Angola clearly by six goals  Angola lost its top position in African younger age categories for good, failing to win gold at both U19s and U17s this summer.
Tunisia clinched bronze before Guinea just thanks to the better goal difference. Another great result for GUI young team after their bronze juniors (U19) qualified for the JWCh. Seems very promising for the future women's handball activities in Guinea.

Update after the latest news:
- China removed as organiser and won't take part.
- According to the recent IHF event page update: Specific Oceania and NorCa Champs won't take place in the end. New Zealand and Canada, respectively, qualified based on the IHF Youth Trophy continental events results. Note that the both Trophy continental winners (New Caledonia and Martinique) are not eligible to take part at WCh (special collectivities of France).
