Tennis

Prob the most popular individual sport on the planet.

Serbian Novak Djokovic won Australia open 2011 Caroline Wozniacki yet to win any importent grand slam, is she danish or polish ?...... Prob the new Safina/Sharapova.

Sweden is Davis cup winner 7 times (75,84,85,87,94,97,98)
Runner up (1983, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1996)

Björn Borg won 11 grand slams
Stefan Edberg 6 grand slams
Mats Wilander 7 grand slams
Thomas Johansson 1 grand slam
Magnus Norman GS finalist
Robin Söderling GS finalist

Prob did i miss 1 or 2 GS winner and finalist. I remember only Borg and between 1985-2011

Only 9 milion people (7.5 milion Sweds)

We are such an crazy sport nation.

And still no one cares about tennis in Sweden i mean you need to dig really hard to faind anything about tennis in swedish TV and media

She was born of Polish parents, who emigrated to Denmark in the 80's. She speaks Polish, visits Poland quite often, but has Danish citizenship and plays for Denmark.

I'm also surprised Sweden doesn't have good tennis players anymore, especially male, cause they were always on higher level, than your female players. Quite strange to me...
