KBH-Silkeborg 31-23 (16-9)
1.half
2.half
Well Copenhagen handball did their job, but I didn't expect otherwise when league top score Trine Troelsen already had checked out for this season for Silkeborg. :? :-"

Viborg HK – Odense HC 21-20 (11-12)
1.half
2.half
Viborg looked really shaken at first, but it's been said a zillion times already and I must just concur : Line Uno's presence has a big impact on Viborgs performance. =D>
OHC was however close to a comeback in the end of the game. :)

Now I just hope for some existing semifinals as well :
FCM-KBH
NFH-Viborg

u18 DM begins on saturday. We have SK Aarhus, FCM, Rødovre and Ajax competing for the title as under 18 Danish Champions.

SK and FCM are probably the favorites to end up in the final, but Ajax do have an exciting team. Ida-Marie Dahl, Stine Eiberg and Stine Nørklit can give any team in Denmark trouble. It will be interesting to see what kind of team FCM are bringing to Sjælland because they have a playoff-match against KBH on saturday. That will probably mean Emma Friis is unavailable for them and they might also be without Louise Ellebæk. If that is the case, then they are certainly not favorites anymore. Those are their two stars.

SK will be in full force, and it will be one final match in the SK-jersey for all of them and several of the players are also leaving, so they want to finish it off right. If Emma Laursen and Lea Hansen can continue their good run of play from this season, then it will be very difficult for the other teams. Those two on the right side is such a dangerous pair. Rødovre is a wildcard but they do have Johanne Farlov, who is considered one of the biggest talents on the leftwing-position.

It will be interesting to see what happens during the weekend. It is hopefully going to be a good tournament.

Do you have any idea why Louise Ellebæk is not part of the U19 national team? She certainly seems to have the quality for it.

I really don't. I remember talking to thomz about it as well because it seems weird that she has never really been considered. If we just consider the talent-aspect, she should probably be one of the safest players on the u19 NT and it's a shame we don't get to see her matched up against the rest of the best in Europe/the World. There must be some reason but from the outside, it's weird.

So Mie Højlund is awarded talent of the year 2016/17 :
http://www.haandboldspiller.dk/mie-hjlu ... r-20162017
For the second time and with 62 % of the votes. Kristina Bille is awarded player of the year for 1'st division, also for the second time .

Congrats to Mie even though I think Kristina Jørgensen really should have been the winner. She will have more opportunities to win it though :)

Well done Mie Højlund, when did it last happen (if ever?) that someone won the award twice?

Maybe we should also list the part of the allstarteam (voted by the players) who've been made official so far (the rest will be today):
GK: Sabine Englert (FCM)
LB: Trine Troelsen (Silkeborg)
PM: Veronica Kristiansen (FCM)
RW: Trine Østergaard (FCM)

Semifinals:
FCM-Copenhagen 20-21 (8-9)
FCM: Jørgensen 9, Kristiansen 4, Burgaard 3, Augustesen 2, Blohm 1, Østergaard 1

København: AM Hansen 7, Kragballe 5, Rej 3, Knudsen 2, Bont 2, Føns 1, Svalastog 1 (pretty sure Knudsen scored 3 goals, so perhaps there's a mistake here)

Copenhagen with their first victory against FCM in their 12th attempt =D> Ofc FCM are still big favorites to take the win in the next two matches. http://sport.tv2.dk/haandbold/2017-04-2 ... semifinale

It never has happened, so history has been written by Mie Højlund.

A shame they don't show us the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place like they back in the older days. I would love to see how the votes end up.

I know you wanted the other candidates, but something a bit related to that is the % of the votes for the all star team, which can be found here: http://www.haandboldspiller.dk/resten-a ... 62017-kret

Btw, I agree that it's a shame we don't get to see more info about the votes.

Still can't believe it but :D :
København – FCM 29-23 (14-11)

København: AM Pedersen 8, AM Hansen 4, Føns 3, Knudsen 3, Rej 3, Svalastog 2, Flader 2, Bont 2, Kragballe 1, Schoenaker 1

FCM: Jørgensen 7, Kristiansen 5, Burgaard 3, Blohm 2, Pedersen 2, Augustesen 2, Østergaard 2

Amazing team performance by CPH, everyone has really stepped up lately =D> And what an atmosphere in the court 8:) Pity for la Cour she missed it (sick), Bont was a surprisingly good sub on RB though :D

Feel bad for the FCM players, they have really had a problem in the final matches this season. They also seemed tired and bit affected by the atmosphere (though they have tried worse). At least they still have a shot at CL and a bronzematch to look out for.

So today VHK-NFH - can't watch it, but I hope VHK can win and force it into a 3rd match [-o<

So what will be the rule for the CL?Will two teams from Denmark go to the group stage directly? It would be interesting to see Kobenhavan in CL.

Yep, two teams directly to group stage - just like this year . Since the Danish championship final is between Nykøbing Håndbold (NFH) and København Håndbold (KBH), the DEN1 participant team is the winner of this final and FCM is (again as league winner) the DEN2 participant team (in the EHF CL ranking system ).
The looser of the final and Viborg (and Randers as cup winner) are all offered a spot in the EHF cup by default .
Of course any team can forfeit those offers and then the next team in line gets the offer, but that happens very rarely as I recall . :)

Viborg – NFH 27-27 (10-14)

Viborg: Strömberg 7, Stine Bodholt 7, Haugsted 4, AG Nørgaard 4, Gnabouyou 3, Grøn 2
NFH: Hagman 10, J. Westberg 5, Nolsøe 5, Iversen 3, Kristensen 1, E. Westberg 1, Gravholt 1, Kristiansen 1

Just watched it, Strömberg unfortunately missed a 7m in the last seconds. Earlier in the match, AG also missed 2 :(

It will be the first time since 1990 that there aren't any teams from Jutland in the DM final. Thinking of how the previous matches have been between Copenhagen and NFH, it should make for a crazy atmosphere in both courts.

Devastating for Viborg. Especially devastating hearing about Strømberg not wanting to take the 7m, asking AG to take it, and then Strømberg misses. That's never fun but as Daniel Svensson once said after missing the deciding 7m in a penalty shoot-out "Sometimes you score and become the hero, and sometimes you miss and become the villain. That's why we play the game". Now København just have to do their job in the final!

At the youth DMs, FIF won u14 (København looking good at the moment), FCM won u16 and FCM won u18.
I still think it's a bit sad that SK couldn't beat Ajax in the semifinal but the u18-tournament was plagued with inconsistency where the only consistent team was FCM and they are the champions which they deserved after a good year. Louise Ellebæk definitely the u18 MVP during this year. FCM u16 have been losing to Skanderborg all season but when it mattered, they got the win. Both teams are so loaded with talent. It will be interesting to see if they can keep these teams together or if they want to look for new challenges.

Shame none of the Aarhus-teams won DM, especially considering 50% of u14-DM was from Aarhus :D

Jacob Andreasen only thinks CPH has a chance if la Cour will be ready and Michael Bruun said, he pointed to NFH as favorites because they have homecourt in a potential 3rd match.

And since la Cour is pregnant, it turns out that she won't play. Congrats to her and her boyfriend :!:

Hope CPH can manage it for 2-3 more matches without her [-o<

Where can I see how the european cup competition spots are distributed for different countries this year? How many teams will DK send and will it be grundspillets 1. spot that will get one of the tickets or the two finalists?
