But if you consider they won against Romania this time, it makes no sense to boo them against Spain.

Re: Olympic Games 2016

They actually booed when Romania played against Spain. I didn't understand why at the moment. And if you saw Brazil vs Romania, I think it is just useless to talk about it. They almost came to the playground. And what do you say about that 'Ole's at the end of the game when Romania struggled 10+ aw...

Re: Olympic Games 2016

You are probably right that in team sports, the home crowd would probably be about the same in many countries, certainly in the south and east with culture connected to supporting clubs in different sports. But it would limit itself to the games where the home team is involved. So partly it´s adopt...

Re: Olympic Games 2016

Grimsbø was frightening good, with a saving percent of 72% 1st half, and 56% match overall - insane world class :) how come against Romania her percentage was 29% and Lunde's only 7%? I think both Grimsbo and Lunde are fantastic keepers, but in the end it's about who takes the shot. And definetely ...

Re: Olympic Games 2016

I fully agree. WC 2015 Holland did beat France, Poland (2*), Serbia and a draw against Sweden . OQT in France they won beating France again, EC qualification they did beat Spain march 9, 31-21. No big names indeed, and all that matters is the loss in their first WC final appearance (young team havi...

Re: Olympic Games 2016

@Ref
This is my hope too - a good game in this phase. I really don't care who wins.
On the other hand I still think the Netherlands had a lot of chance to finish second the WCh. Great battles were on the other side. (Norway, Denmark, Romania, Spain etc).

Re: Olympic Games 2016

1/4 final Predictions: BRA - NED: Holland so far did not impress me, this is not the TGV I saw on the WC, sometimes more a steam locomotive, before the OG they played 2 test matches, one draw and one loss with I thougt 2 points. 80-20%. No offence, but Netherlands didn't win at WCh against the big ...

Re: Players' naturalisation in women's handball

Popović is not proper name for this list. She played for Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro and after referendum she chose to play for Montenegro. She has never played for Serbia as independent country. That depends on what criteria you use. She is born in Nis (current teritory of Serbia) so I think...

Re: Olympic Games 2016

...and Romania with ups and downs secures 2 points. How come they relax every time they lead comfortably? You can not relax when you play against Spain. Considering that, I think Romania is one of the very few teams which may conquer the spanish fortress (I name Norway, you should add any if you thi...

Re: Olympic Games 2016

And then you saying that Nechita and Chiper are the same. I can't take you seriously. For me Chiper is to Nechita what Jessica Quintinio is to Do Nascimento. Chiper is talented and i like her a lot, but i don't think she was ready yet to be the only RW we have. It's one thing to play against Roman ...

Re: Olympic Games 2016

I cannot believe Romania does not have better RBs/RWs than this, even junior players would be better. I agree. There are some players from U18 or U20 that I am sure they could perform better than Chiper. She blows my mind with her throwing. * Alina Ilie (20, Slobozia), from the same U20 generation ...

Re: Olympic Games 2016

Guys, I agree, Chiper scored some goals today. But it's not like she has 5 amazing days and only a bad one after. On the contrary, she plays awful in 5 and then she scores 4/4. ;) On the other hand, I think Ungureanu keeps Romania on the line (with low chances to make it) and she certainly is the be...
