Re: Rumour Mill - Transfer Talk & Other

Im glad you got the main idea. Of course I use "we" and "our" as I am talking about the team I support and actually know about , mate. How do you refer to your own team when you talk about it? By "they"? Actually wait, dont answer, cause I dont care. But yeah, very goo...

Angola - Qatar 24:23 :!: Angola lead throughout the game even by +4, but were 22:23 down with 1 min left. They equalised with 20s left and then got the winner on the fast break with only 1s on the clock. They showed very good structure in their game and had they not missed so many fast breaks, they ...

And if I didn't make any mistakes, these will be the pots for the WCh draw: 1: FRA, ROU, NED, RUS 2: NOR, DEN, SWE, HUN 3: MNE, GER, SRB, ESP 4: JPN, KOR, SLO , CHN 5: KAZ, BRA, ANG, SEN 6: AUS, ARG, Nor.Ca, RDC Of course, for now, only the European teams in pot 1 are fixed, the others have to quali...

Re: 2019 Women's WCh (Japan)

I found an article talking about 6 teams to take part at the Nor.Ca Championship, originally scheduled for Dec this year. In the end, it will take part next year in May. The expected teams are USA, Mexico, Dominican R, Greenland. Let's see who will make it from Puerto Rico, Cuba , Canada. Martinique...

Achhh! You were faster than me! I was getting ready to post exactly the same things, including the remark about Mwasesa. She is an exciting player and it's great to see her again at a WCh! The only thing I regret is not seeing the cool Cameroonian coach again :( Big final next and the winner goes to...

Re: 2018 Women's African Nations Cup = African Championship (Congo)

Senegal and Angola have already secured their places to the WCh next year and they will meet in the final which will decide the African qualifier for the Olympics! Both teams are sure of playing at least the OQT.

In the bronze final, Cameroon - DR Congo, with the winner getting the final WCh spot.

Semifinals - Dec 10 Senegal - DR Congo 22:21 Mad game, with Senegal flying to a 9:5 lead, but then the DRC catching up and always staying behind at -1, -2 goals. They had multiple opportunities to tie the game, especially in the end, but they always fumbled the last pass or took poor shots at the S...

Quarter finals Senegal - Guinea 23:16 Less impressive than the previous matches. A lot of jitter in attack and in general a lack of rhythm. Most important matches to follow for them and 1 victory is all it separates them from the place at the WCh. DR Congo - Tunisia 37:30 Angola - Algeria 41:17 Cam...

Re: 2018 European Championship - France

Agree with @HB9, both matches are too close to say anything about a winner. They can go either way. From what's coming out of the Romanian press, there's a lot of respect for the Dutch team, from our team and fans. Not sure this would've been the case 2-3 years ago. I can only hope this means the te...

Re: Asian Championship 2018

I kind of assumed that China is targeting the Olympics, but I didn't know the pressure is so high. What their coach is telling is mind blowing. Plans are changing over night, but you still have to deliver and seems they have no idea how difficult qualifying for the Olympics is. Regardless of hosting...

Day 5 Group A Ivory Coast - Senegal 22:32 (it was a dead rubber, both teams being sure of finishing last and first, respectively) It is indeed really strange how the Ivory Coast, which also took part in the Round of 16 in several WCh has gone so low. And look at Tunisia too, once their Chebbah-Toum...

Never mess with a French person's pleasure to protest! Aux armes, les citoyens! Plus if there's something French people hate more than authority during protests, it's (bizzarely...) the tram! Count on garbage being set on fire and the lines being blocked with it. And the access to Hall XXL i...

Day 4 Group A Senegal - Algeria 35:22 Senegal is now sure of winning their group and most likely avoiding Angola all the way to the final. They shouldn't have any trouble in the QF where they will face the winner of Morocco-Guinea (to be played next) and stand a very good chance to be in the WCh no...

Hope the girls can have a good recovery. Also hope the staff can manage well the 3-days break, which is really unseen at such competitions. The girls seem to be well connected and after that crazy match vs. Czechia all nerves have passed.
Still, long way to go!

BRA-ARG was tighter than expected. @Cmsnpsi or anyone else who has seen it, could you write a little summary, please?
Such a pity PAR couldn't complete the competition with a win, but they still finish 3rd due to better 3-way head to head. I guess they were a bit demotivated also.

Algeria's win vs. Cote d'Ivoire was a little surprising, considering the CIV were used to participating at WCh. Second surprising result came today, Tunisia - Senegal 21:26. But then again, Senegal beat Tunisia 2 years ago as well in the semis before being disqualified for using an ineligible player...

Re: 2018 European Championship - France

Red card in last second means nothing, it has no effect. Precisely! That's almost insulting! Either you establish that was a cynical action and you give the blue card or say it was unintentional and give 2 mins. Red card was a worthless decision. Next time a player wants to do that, they'll know it...
