BRA-ARG was tighter than expected. @Cmsnpsi or anyone else who has seen it, could you write a little summary, please?
Such a pity PAR couldn't complete the competition with a win, but they still finish 3rd due to better 3-way head to head. I guess they were a bit demotivated also.

Re: 2018 Women's African Nations Cup = African Championship (Congo)
Algeria's win vs. Cote d'Ivoire was a little surprising, considering the CIV were used to participating at WCh. Second surprising result came today, Tunisia - Senegal 21:26. But then again, Senegal beat Tunisia 2 years ago as well in the semis before being disqualified for using an ineligible player...

I can't seem to find any informations anywhere about the respective teams and what players they are bringing. The match sheets are uploaded here, so you can check the rosters and the players performances. In the meantime, results from day 3. Group A Kazakhstan - New Zealand 51:14 Australia - Iran 2...

Re: 2018 European Championship - France
Red card in last second means nothing, it has no effect. Precisely! That's almost insulting! Either you establish that was a cynical action and you give the blue card or say it was unintentional and give 2 mins. Red card was a worthless decision. Next time a player wants to do that, they'll know it...

Re: 2018 European Championship - France
I think the current rules open up the way for cynical behaviour. Take the following situation: empty goal, ball rolls on the floor and is about the go in and a defender (not GK) runs in and keeps it out. Why should it be a penalty when the ball is clearly going for the goal? While I agree that a goa...

Re: WCh 2019 - Germany & Denmark
Some important news that passed a bit unnoticed: Korea will take part with a Unified team at the WCh in Denmark/Germany next January. This has been confirmed by IHF, which will also allow the Koreans to take part with a larger roster. To facilitate the integration of players from the Democratic Peop...

Re: 2019 Women's WCh (Japan)
Quick update from the European qualifying round. Belarus already made it to the play-off, by easily winning their preliminary group last week. Slovakia beat Ukraine 36:32 yesterday and probably secured its play-off spot as well. Hard to believe they'll have problems with Israel or Kosovo. So, congra...

Re: 2018 European Championship - France
I am curious to know other opinions about the decision in the final seconds of the Denmark Sweden match last night? My question is: in situations where a clear goal (not goal opportunity!) is stopped by a deliberate (or non-deliberate) action of the defending player, should we award a penalty goal? ...

Re: Central and South American Championship 2018 - Maceio, Brazil
Brazil played really well in which the main challenge was simply to stay focused and respect your game plan. Sometimes these matches against much weaker opposition can be annoying, if you don't set yourself a clear goal. Well done to them! Also interesting that Paraguay won so clearly this match. If...

Re: Asian Championship 2018
Oh, you're right, I forgot about that one! That should be very much doable since they need to win vs. Iran and NZ in the group and then India/Hong Kong/Singapore in the playoff. HK could be the most threatening there. But which place will they get in this case, the wild card one? In the meantime, re...

Results: Argentina 28 x 25 Paraguay Chile 24 x 19 Uruguay Chile took the lead in the beginning and held it til the end. Uruguay had big problems in attack throughout the match. Paraguay had so many chances, including a penalty to equalise and a 2 mins suspension. Argentina is far from being the cle...

Re: Central and South American Championship 2018 - Maceio, Brazil
^ Probably something to do with the recent almost-split between North and South. Bizzarely, Africa has 3 spots, despite Angola ranking behind Brazil at the last WCh. One spot is reserved as a wild card and given the recent moves in the USA [1,2], probably there will be a Repechage tournament where t...

We all knew there was a big chance for this to occur. Even with a different outcome in Koprivnica earlier in September, I think these team were bound to end up in the EHF cup in the end. Will be interesting to see how things will happen over a 2 legs tie this time around.

Biettigheim defeats CSM in Bucharest ? Won't matter. It will be a dead rubber. BBM is out and CSMB is guaranteed to advance with exactly 6p. Maybe other players will get the chance to play a bit more. I liked Cvijic (this time) but not her provocative and groundless gesture. May be RO comentator ha...
