EHF CL 2010/2011 Main Round day 1

Postby I.L.T. » Mon Jan 31, 2011 9:59 am

So long ago, since the last Chl games...

04.02 20:15 KRIM - Itxaco+1
Pretty even game, Aquilar is back and 100% ready, and she is good then.

05.02 12:00 Dinamo - Gyor-5
Görbe 100% ready? if yes they will win.

05.02 15:00 Leipzig - Larvik -10
Still can not believe Leipzig is here, IMO they do not have the quality, but lets see if they prove me wrong.

06.02 16:00 Valcea - Buducnost+3
Guess Romania is over the disapointment at the EC.

Think I will go for something possitive here - Handball is just a great sport!

Disapointment? Are you joking? How often do we get to get medals, even with this very good team of ours?!
We treaseure this medal like gold. In fact, disapointment was gone before the match against Denmark. If we had been dispaointed we would have lost that one.
Hope your prediction will come true, Buducnost is top class team, but we must stay focused and win all games at home. If we do that and moreover produce a good result in Itxako, we might be qualified after first 4 matches.

04.02 20:15 KRIM - Itxaco 60-40

05.02 12:00 Dinamo - Gyor 50-50

05.02 15:00 Leipzig - Larvik 30-70 - Nora Mørk got injured against Selbu, nothing serious tho, but she maybe have to pass against Leipzig, BUT Amanda Kurtovic are ready to play for Larvik, and Sara Breistøl (LW) are also getting her old shape back.

Well off cause depends of how good you think romania are...

I have them as a top 3 team in the world and have been, for the last 5-6 big tournaments, and the chance probably will not get bigger then it was this time, as Russia will not take it easy the comming years. And then loosing in the semi final to sweden must have been a huge disapointment.
Think I will go for something possitive here - Handball is just a great sport!

@ILT: No, it wasn't. Many players sait that the bronz has a golden touch, as they were perennial losers in the 3/4 finals during the last 20 years. The win, corroborated with Neagu's form was great for the Romanian team. It would be foolish to say that they were not dissapointed after the match against Sweden but your statements are nowhere near the truth regarding the outcome of the EC.

ILT, don't think that we are the kind that are satisfied for less. But when our team is the puzzle of European handball, and nobody understands how with such huge talent we get a medal only once every 4-5 years, we learn to love every piece of podium performance they deliever. Sweden was a good team in that competition and I said it then that we didn't deserve to win that match: we stayed behind too much and tactical mistakes were made, where Sweden exceeded the expectations. And then, the performance in the final against the hosts has is a golden one: the attitude and the fighting spirit our girls had can make us only proud. But I hope this generation will satisfy you, and us :) and produce at least one more medal (Brazil or London :D). But, like Tadici used to say: "it's not only us who train and dream at a medal, the others are working towards this goal too".

Doesn't sound like "nothing serious" at TV2 Sporten

[quote="I.L.T."]So long ago, since the last Chl games...

04.02 Krim- Itxaco -3/-6
I really want to see this difference at the final.Come on,Itxako you can do it! :D

05.02 12:00 Dinamo - Gyor -3
They will play from equal ,Dinamo will take the lead in the first half but then Gyor will accelerate the rhythm.

05.02 15:00 Leipzig - Larvik -5
Leipzig will take the score low but they will be powerless in the last 20 minutes.Anyway,if you think that Leipzig got some Swedish players the difference could be lower than that:3,2 goals .

06.02 16:00 Valcea - Buducnost +6
Buducnost is a very good team (will be one of the qualifiers of the group with Oltchim)but they simply can't won in Romania. :D

It sounded and looked worse then what it actually is. Her ankle already got scaned and nothing is broken or injured. Nora has to take it slow and might rest against Leipzig because Larvik doesn´t want to take a risk with her, therefore Amanda Kurtovic will go to Leipzig with the team and Tor will decide there if Nora or Amanda will play.

Krim suffers a lot injury problems... Lekić, Penezić and Bodnieva are injured but will be ready for Friday, Cvijić and Vergelyuk are off, also Grubušić not sure.
Itxako has a chance for a break-point in Ljubljana.

Oltchim fans are sooo optimistic before the match. I guess that Oltchim should win but not with that difference... ;)

Mate, those statements are purely optimistical povs from them, the match is not be easy, never was, never will be. It will be interesting if Itxako manages smth in Ljubljana tho. ;)

Just look who are the over-optimistic ones... :)
To compare, you might take the WCh predictions too. Seriously, don't take it too personally. Anyone who watches this sport close enough and understands it knows that Buducnost is a tough one. Still, my argument remains (and I think this goes for every team in the group): we mustn't lose points at home.

Krim-Itxaco I really think that Krim is strong enought to win this match 34-30
Valcea-Buducnost I like Valcea but not with this coach and i think that Buducnost will be this winner group with 12points 29-32
Dinamo-Gyor 26-30 if Sedoykina will not play
Leipzig-Larvik 18-30

She is ready, I hope so! :D Why not? She was not injured!

Győr has 2 injured players: Adrienn Orbán (2nd RW) and Fruzsina Palkó (3rd Pivot)! So it's a full team with good chances!

Oltchim - Buducnost 30-30 (I am particularly looking forward to watch this game and it sems to be available on the telly :D ).
I welcome your post with enthusiasm.Image
