Maybe more gossip related

She is playing for VOC Amsterdam and in Januari 2018 made her debut in the first team. VOC Amsterdam is not a professional handball team, budget will be in the order of 30-50k€, there was no budget to play CL, that would cost 15k€, they could not afford that. But they "invest" a lot in their U16 and U18 teams.

Re: Youth handball
Do you have a strong regulation in Denmark about U20 players that are selected in the national team (Kristina Jörgensen, currently, or AM Hansen four years ago)? I know they are not called in U20 any more, I'd like to know whether it's only some common sense, or is regulated.
In conclusion, I declare that EHF must be destroyed

Good question. I´m not sure if the rule is formalized - written down on paper - but I don´t think it is. However, there is an informal rule that a player can only play for one national team at the same time. The coaches speak of this in a matter of factual fashion and it´s not something which is assessed based on the individual player. The moment players like AM Hansen, Tranborg and Kristina Jørgensen have their senior NT debut, they are no longer part of the U20 NT. The purpose is to protect the health of the player.
It´s a huge blow for our current U20 NT that they have to do without Jørgensen this summer. It will most likely cost them a medal.

I am impressed we won over France and Russia and recovered big against Hungary. Honestly we had Hungary first and our girls were really tired after the Carpathian Trophy. In Cluj imo we looked bad, plus coach Amariei (Lung) left home a very talented girl if I am not wrong. I just hope Amariei will do better than Tadici, a top 6 should be the objective considering this generation is weakened by many absences (!). Since U17... But who knows, U17 competition was well balanced!
It's our problem, we have some great generations, some less greater. We can't link like Denmark and Russia. But honestly recently I have seen Denmark and Russia dethroned and I haven't seen them until now on 7th position or so. This means youth and junior handball is very balanced now. We lost a bit though Spain and especially Sweden. But about 7 nations + Germany sometimes are fighting for medals almost equally.

Re: Youth handball
First Danish u17-NT for this generation:
Anne Christine Bossen / HIH
Maria Jensen / GOG
Emilie Holst Firgaard / HEI/VRI
Alberte Ebler / Skanderborg
Alberte Christensen / VSH2002
Karoline Petz / Rødekro-Aabenraa
Johanne Uhrhammer / Næsby IF
Anna Sofie Ottesen Møller / HEI/VRI
Laura Holm Andersen / HIH
Karen Klokker Poulsen / VIES
Maja Laursen / Silkeborg-Voel
Lejla Krak / FIF
Louise Christensen / Strandby-Elling
Caroline Søegaard Thisgaard / Team Esbjerg HK
Maria Wierzba / HEI/VRI
Clara Skøtt / FIF
Mathilde Høy Troelsen / Mejdal-Halgaard
Sara Brixtofte / GOG
Thea Rasmussen / Skanderborg
Laura Abild / Silkeborg-Voel
Julie Bodholdt Steffensen / HIH
It's always exciting with a completely new national team. Of course they have had their gatherings before this but this will be the first to be in official matches. Mathilde Troelsen, Anne Christine Bossen and Julie Steffensen will be very exciting. They have all been a force for Bording who has been the best youth team in Denmark and probably all of Europe for a while.
Maja Laursen and Laura Abild from Silkeborg will be a few of the players who need to take responsibility as they are a bit more experienced than most. Thought Thilde Rau from Silkeborg would get selected as well.
Also very happy to see three Aarhus-girls Wierzba, Ottosen and Holst on the team
Not a lot of Sjælland-players on the team.

Re: Youth handball

Just select Maria Jensen for the actual squad, please. She is our best right back in this generation and it's puzzling for me that she doesn't get selected. In attack she is unmatched here in Denmark as far as right backs. Other than that Anne Sofie Ottesen is a weird no-show in the squad.
Louise Christensen is an exciting choice. She's in HEI/VRI's group with her Strandby-Elling team. She has been playing great for them in the matches I've seen and obviously convinced Heine in matches and training that she should be one of the left backs in the squad.
It's in the process of Heine wanting to see if new players should go to the championship in the summer. Alberte Daugaard or Gormsen; Maria Jensen or the other right backs.
