1st of july. as per the training games, I don't know much, but they usually have a game against a strong team before the season start. (Rostov as usually?)

CSM will begin training the 16th of july, as for the training games, we don't know yet.

Re: About the CSM Bucharest project
Maybe because new contracts in handball usually (always?) start on the 1. July across Europe. If that Esbjerg contract goes ahead on that date (without an agreement reached until then between the parties), CSM will propbably not be happy.

Re: About the CSM Bucharest project
I read on another romanian site the info that CSM reunites the 16th of july, and the article was much more recent than the one from prosport. HB9's explanation it's logical.

When everyone saw on which way Helle Thomsen get fired, no one is crazy to come.

Re: About the CSM Bucharest project
I am sure there are more than enough candidates who would love to go there - even if it's just for 6 months.
The only question is if CSM deems those candidates to be 'good' enough.

What do you mean? Even Helle agreed she can pay for those results. There is nothing like that, you confirm or not. It also happens in Real Madrid and whatever. Even though I want to add that new president for all the sections, former legendary athlete Gabriela Szabo, said the new coaches will get more time.
What did Thomsen have to do? To beat Nykøbing, Craiova and whatever. And to show some ok display.
CSM wants continuity but it must be earned via streak. Ambros confirmed in ETO, that's why he had a long reign. Now you will see with the Hungarian coach, if he doesn't confirm... Fired like Konkoly!

The contract with the new coach will expire before the F4 anyway
Per will insure the continuity for the F4 2019 as well.

Re: About the CSM Bucharest project
I am looking forward to see who's gonna defend in CSM. I think they will need more than Jacobsen and Cvijic as central defenders.
Imho this is the weak spot of CSM, not the coach...

When Thomsen left the team, they were leading the league and secured a spot in the CL quarter-finals. Something she'd achieved with a team that had a handful of new players (some with fairly large personalities). I think it's laughable to think that's anywhere near a "bad result"

It seems obvious to me that it isn't the coach – pretty much regardless of which of the 7 (!) different coaches they've had since 2014 we're talking about – that's the problem in CSM. It's the management. And perhaps instead of firing a coach as soon as they lose one or two matches with the team, they should be happy that there's gradually less disparity in both the Romanian league and in Champions League. Because if they continue to lead a policy of a couple of losses and you're out, they're never gonna achieve continuity because the way the game is progressing, many different teams are getting better and there is gonna be less disparity, so if they don't change that policy, they'll most likely end up in the same situation coaching-wise every season.

Re: About the CSM Bucharest project
AB10, neither do I like the actual people that are in charge of leading the handball section. You don't know, unless you're romanian, but the team played very, very bad some games in the Romanian League and in the Romanian Cup before she was told that she can't continue. Those games were against Zalau, at home, in the Cup, and against Craiova and Rapid in the Domestic League. CSM didn't play as bad as in the cup match against Zalau since 2013, when the team was still a middle table team.
