Finals Norway:

Vipers - Larvik 31-30
Larvik - Vipers 26-20

So Larvik won everything this year too.

Next year Vipers will have CHL-qual, hope they will qualify. With players like Sulland, Lunde, Tomac, Hegh-Arntzen, Aune, J. Kristiansen & Brattset they will have good squad.

September 10, 2017:

Fredrikstad-Sola 30-25 (13-14)

Top scorer Fredrikstad: Louise Karlsson 6
Top scorer Sola: Oda Aasheim 5, Tonje Nøstvold 5 (2) and Line Ellertsen 5.

Herrem scored 3 goals for Sola. Swedish goalkeeper Jenny Sandgren was Fredrikstad's best player. Probably NT soon. Fredrikstad continued their streak after beating Larvik in the first match.

Oppsal-Stabæk 33-31 (16-16)

Top scorer Oppsal: Christina Solheim Andersen 6 (1) and Kristin Halvorsen 6 (1)
Top scorer Stabæk: Josefine Intelhus 6 and Henny Ella Reistad 6.

Interesting result. Oppsal wiped the floor Byåsen and Stabæk was clearly beaten by Tertnes in the previous round. Will be interesting to see how they progress. Oppsal, by Norwegian league standards, has a solid team. Stabæk has always been a talent factory, and the 2017/2018-version is talented. Henny Reistad does have a big future in international handball.

Gjerpen-Larvik 20-40 (11-18)

Top scorer Gjerpen: Melanie Bak 5 (1)
Top scorer Larvik: Linn-Kristin Riegelhuth-Koren 16 (6)

Larvik is back...? Nah, not really. Riegelhuth-Koren however. The best and most efficient RW in the world, 33 years old and in her prime. But "too old" for the national team. LOL. Stupid Thorir. If she is, then so is Løke and Lunde!

Storhamar-Glassverket 36-31 (21-13)

Top scorer Storhamar: Ellen Marie Folkvord 8
Top scorer Glassverket: Renate Saastad Sømme 10 (1)

I mean. This match should not have been so even. Storhamar should have wiped the floor with Glassverket. Didn't watch the game, but almost every team in the Norwegian league should beat Glassverket by about 10 goals. And keep them under 20. So yeah. Grizovic didn't play for Storhamar, neither did Løke, Suvdal or Sundmoen (who all will be back soon). But still.

Vipers Kristiansand-Byåsen 30-26 (13-15)

Top scorer Vipers: Linn Jørum Sulland 8, Emilie Hegh Arntzen 8 (3)
Top scorer Byåsen: Teodora Tomac 7 (4)

At least Byåsen got it together after Oppsal beat them. They do have a good team, so should be able to finish top 4-5.

Tertnes-Molde 25-29 (14-12)

Top scorer Tertnes: Celine Sivertsen 6 (1) and Thea Stankiewicz 6
Top scorer Molde: Natasa Jankovic 6

Tertnes was leading, but then Sivertsen got a red card and danish GK Lærke Sørensen closed shop for Molde securing their second win of two possible.

Thanks to this TV-deal you can no longer watch any top games on handballtv.com. At least last season they were made avaliable later as a recording. [-(

What's the league system over there? Shouldn't there be a playoff? I'm sure I'm missing something.

________

Winner of the league (best of 22 matches) get the CL-place

After those 22 matches there is playof

Nr 1 choose 7,8
Nr 2 choose 6,7,8
Nr 3 choose 5,6,7,8
Nr 4 get 5,6,7,8

Best of two matches - home/away
Then semifinale Nr1 and nr2 can`t meet each other - home/away
Last finale home/away
The winner of play off (or nr 2 if Vipers win) get the highest EHF-cup place and can then apply for CL-place

Norway only have one CL-place and then will get to league winner
But winner of play off (or nr 2 since Larviks always win both) will get EHF-place, but can apply for CL-spot
Glassverket did that 2 years, and Vipers did that this year
