Is it true that Fisker, Gravholt, Thomsen, Dalmose Larsen, Gulldén injured and won't play in Metz?

Larvik (NOR) vs Györi Audi ETO KC (HUN)
An equal game, but Larvik is used this season to win tight matches.

28.02.2015 19:00 - Skopje
WHC Vardar SCBT (MKD) vs HC Leipzig (GER)

29.02.2015 14:00 - Thüringen
Thüringer HC (GER) vs RK Krim Mercator (SLO)

29.02.2015 16:30 - Baia Mare
HCM Baia Mare (ROU) vs IK Sävehof (SWE)
There can be a surprise here, but Baia Mare has the home advantage and the better players.

29.02.2015 16:50 - Metz
Metz Handball (FRA) vs Viborg HK A/S (DEN)
I thought that Gullden's absence is a disaster, and now coach Dalmose is fired... It's just too much, and although Metz proved they can lose to anyone anywhere, even they have a limit for how bad they can be.

Budućnost (MNE) vs Dinamo-Sinara (RUS)

Larvik winning the group :)

It was a low scoring match, thanks to Toft and Grimsbø in goal for both teams. Toft did however praise the defense in front of her, and said it was easy to stand in goal with such a hard-fighting defense with players like Gro Hammerseng-Edin playing better than ever :)

Heidi Løke was taking especially good care of :)

Ambros Martin was furious over the judges, and with right, as e.g. Løke should have got several 7 meters tbh. Still Larvik did have good control over Györ and had a 20-14 lead before Györ came back and made result look a little better 21-19 in the end, but that was because keyplayers like Gro were rested to avoid any risk of injury for the coming rounds :)

Congratz girls, and lets hope LHK will survive their economical crisis. We will know on Thursday 8-[

eto's defense was pretty good. did someone remember to mørk or wojtas? dont think so. but in attack, the penalties, the portugese duo.. i saw them a couple weeks ago in the veszprém-celje they were disaster too. i had a hard feeling that they dont know the rules. and now they got a derby in the women competition.
i really dont understand the ehf - again and again :) . its ok, nope its not but im used to it already that from 16 there will be only women refs on the field in this competition, but until that why the heck they usually send a couples like this two. last time the israeli duo, peretz-cohen whos also my favourites. no. :)

anyway, without a proper lb performance in attack against a strict wall, eto gons reach the 4th spot in budapest, nothing more.

Great game from Baia Mare, without a doubt their best game so far in the competition. It's nice to see the team performing so good, now when it matters the most.I think they are favourites againt Viborg and with a bit of luck they can take 3rd place and if they are rally lucky they can play Dinamo.I don't see any favourite in a Dinamo-Baia Mare game.If the team would reach Final 4 it will be a big,big surprise.

A Dinamo - Baia Mare quarterfinal, with a F4 place on the table, would be just an index at how tight ( :) ) the Women's EHF CL has gotten. I mean, it would be a game between a team that barely scrapped to collect some money to play in the Main Round and a team that lost a third of its games until now (5 from 14)!! And this weren't easy losses, with blowouts against Metz in France and Gyor at home. Can't stop to remember that BM has missed 7 7m shots in the game against Larvik!

If you are putting all this on the paper, Baia Mare won only against Lublin (twice), Savehof (twice) and a depleted Viborg, who had to play with their GK on RW a week before. Don't mean to be a badass, I respect them for what they are doing, but this system is failing to bring up contenders to the table, in my opinion.

You mean, won a third of their matches.
You're right and I stated this the second they announced the new system: it doesn't make any sense to play 48 matches in the first group stage and get rid of only 4/16 teams after the first round. It's also clear that besides the 3 really good teams: LHK, Budućnost and Gyor, the others are approximately at the same level. Maybe the system should've been changed and maybe these groups of 6 are ok for most of the teams, but again, the first round was more than futile.
And indeed, EHF CL is constantly failing to find the right formula, attract sponsors, reward clubs and create healthier clubs for a better competition.

We are coming :)

HCM Baia Mare (ROU) vs IK Sävehof (SWE) 34:24 (18:12) :)

HCM Baia Mare seem to have found form at the right time and took a major step towards the quarter-finals of the Women’s EHF Champions League, as they won their match in Group 2 on Sunday.

Image

Video: http://www.digisport.ro/Sport/HANDBAL/H ... sa+invinga. =D>

Having started the main round as the only team without a point, the Romanian champions now look like they are on the right course.

From the start, Baia Mare has success with the fast attacking play against a relatively flat Swedish 6-0 defence.

At the same time, Baia Mare had similar success with their aggressive defence.

The home team soon went 6:1 and 7:2 ahead, but after five successive Sävehof goals the score was pulled back to 7:7, this did not shake Baia Mare who did not need much time to create another clear lead, leaving the court six goals up at half-time.

After the break, the hosts continued to be in the driver’s seat much to the pleasure of the 2,080 spectators in the Sala Sporturilor Lascăr Pană.

Baia Mare went up by 11 goals before finally winning by ten.

The 21-year-old left back Eliza Buceschi scored no less than 11 goals for Baia Mare who are now fourth in the group with six points, while Sävehof are last on three points. :)

Yeah, they won, not lost :). For me, the sheer fact that a team can win six-seven matches, lose ten, and still be in the Europe's Top 8 is astonishing. Don't get me wrong, I know that the economical troubles created an even field and competition is great, but that's not the point here! Baia Mare won against teams that would have had trouble qualifying for the Main Round in the old format and a depleted Viborg. It's a perfect scenario for them.
