I mostly agree with this, except I don't think Ungureanu should be anywhere near the all star team.
If they want to honour Poland as well, maybe Kocela on LW, she's done a nice job.

It's about politcs too and a bit of a puzzle.
Obvious choice for the All Star: Loke. She was great but not contender for the MVP.
Mork will be in it too, she has MVP potential but they like more the ones who defend.
So we have 2 places.
The choice for MVP decides how to move further.
I expect Neagu to be the MVP and opening the door for LB Kudlacz and CB Groot /the other mvp-contender/.
The other Dutch entry could be Wester BUT they have to put a Danish girl in the All Star too, and Poulsen excelled vs Montenegro in a game that everybody saw.
Herrem's spot is depending on do they want a 3rd Norvegian in.
The defender and the RW spots will be decided by the other elements in the equation.
For example if Kudlacz doesn't get the LB spot, Byzdra can be the defender, or we can have the Polish right winger

on the LB- Abbingh could be there, and on the right wing Radicevic or Nechita for sure.

It would be odd to put a Danish player in, even when they have played well it was as a team and no one (other than Hansen maybe) has stood out. But if there has to be one, I see only these candidates (without having seen the quarterfinal):

-Nørgaard/Fisker (maybe)
-Gravholt (but Løke)
-AM Hansen (not gonna happen)

Poulsen did well yesterday but only after the team was out (however grateful I am to her for securing the OG qual spot)

My guess would be on Nørgaard or Fisker to be in, if a dane has to be included.

I'd love to see Oftedal in the All Star to, but it seems unlikely that the desision makers would select her.

Radicevic can get in, but Bulatovic instead of Mork? No way :)

Nice one. + finds a way to honor Bradeanu which is also great.
I'd accept this with a Löke/Broch change, and some position changes: Kudlacz LB, Groot CB, Neagu MVP.

Was thinking about something. Who is, in your opinion the best pivot of these last 20-25 years in handball? Because no matter how hard I try I cannot think about a player better than Loeke. I'd say Bodnieva is the closest I can think about.

What are your opinions and arguments?

The funny thing is that Løke was a relatively late newcomer to the Norwegian team... She didn't really become the first choice until after the Beijing Olympics. Although, she did have some tough competition, Norway never lacked in good pivots in Sørlie, Blanco, Hilmo and the gang.

GK: Ungureanu / Wester

Manea is fantastic, she has been way better than Loke in these World Championships. only 2 missed shots till now in the entire competition, and 20 minutes left.

Yes, I agree. She was excellent. Løke was also superb though.

To be honest, indeed, Manea and Loeke should als be considered, alongside Broch, for the best line player title.
All 3 of them deserve it, but probably there will be some politics involved and the prizes will have a more or less uniform distribution, as usual.

She was left out because of her defence, that's my only explanation. Sørlie Lybekk was great at her top in 2008 olympics good both ways, Frafjord was used too much IMO, very good in defence but very average in attack, misses a lot. Frafjord has left the NT, if she was still here I'm not sure if Løke would be the first pick (crazy I know).

Best pivot in attack is Løke for me, nobody has ever done what she does now. I defence I'm not sure.

Yeah, I always thought Frafjord was overrated a lot, never understood why they pushed her so much. I was baffled when she got taken to Beijing instead of Blanco - it's a crime she doesn't have an Olympic title and Frafjord has two.

Bodnieva was the other standout pivot in the last 15 years, but I always felt referees gave her way too much credit, every time she got the ball it was a penalty for her team even if it wasn't fully deserved. Ionela Gilca is also another one I liked.
