In the Romanian football all the clubs were private at the moment, but they started to arrest the millionaires. That's why some teams disappeared. Even now, there is a fooball law, you can't support anymore the football clubs via public money only if it's through private sponsorship. Though the city hall can support a very small part of the budget, 5% or something like that, but they are not allowed to pay salaries at all.
In handball it's regular thing, we also had case in Copenhagen, not just in Ploești.
