Postby guesthand » Sun Mar 12, 2017 9:43 am

Now, most of quater finals are already know

Gyor - Metz
Larvik - Buducnost
FTC - FC Midtjylland (or CSM Bucuresti)
Vardar - FC Midtjylland (or CSM Bucuresti)

Every match will be exciting. Only gyor- Metz is going to be predictable.

Hope : Gyor, Buducnost, Bucuresti and Midtjilland [-o<

I think it'll be the same as last year: Győr, Budućnost , CSM București and Vardar.
But I agree, every match will be exciting! Can't wait the QF's!

I think, Larvik and FTC have a good chance this year.

CSM haven't shown anything this year to see them Final4 material.
Hopefully their luck of last year is gone.
Next year they will have the squad to do it though.

I hope to see ETO, Vardar, FTC and Larvik in the final 4 after the matches that I saw.

Yes, I agree, but they don't have to shine in the main round. CSM didn't impress me either so far, but they have to play very well from the QF's. They have material, almost the same team as last year. I'm the most curious for them.
It is not allowed to underestimate them.

They lack something though. THE COACH. This might prove essential.

Would be fun with some real shocking results. Like Metz and Larvik. Metz has no chance, but Larvik has a fair one.

Don't worry ....we like to be underestimated. We are very good with the position of underdog :D :p Let Vardar, Rostov or Gyor to be favourite....Ups...one of the favourite is already out.

I agree with you, they were bad during this season, but to say "Hopefully their luck of last year is gone." it's...weird. Why everybody says "CSM have had luck"? They really deserved to win Champions League, they were amazing against Rostov, Vardar and Gyor. I would have understood you if there would be only one game, but were 4 games. :!:

Also, in group stage and MR they took a point in Podgorica and Skopje. Not easy at all! And come on, look on their squad last year, bunch of top players who won medals with their national team. And a very good coach. Give them some credits. :D

Btw, I'm not a fan of CSM.

Gyor-Metz 80%
Larvik-Budu 50%
FTC- CSM 55%
Vardar -Midtiland 60% victory in favour of first squad.

Honestly the squad may be poorer than in the last season. Ok, the wings might be better from the QFs, if Majda will also play like this Martin, but the Brazilians left. And the coach is other.

It's hard to predict, but IMO the quarterfinals won't be as boring as in last year.

And then, F4 is totally unpredictable. Last year, Vardar looked like a powerhouse before F4, while CSM was in the wishlist of every team.

Than you know, what happened. :-)

There's a big gap between the quarterfinals and F4 and that is very bad for Vardar who play in a league where they can win with three players on the court. During that time they lose form, physics and rhythm.

Pff, if Larvik beats Buducnost i will stop watching handball. Don't want to be disrespectful but if Bulatovic, Neagu, Raicevic, Cvijic and Achruk can't beat Breivang, Kurtovic, Frajford and Hamerseng-Edin then something is wrong. Not underestimating Larvik but anything other than Buducnost win would be a surprise, a big surprise.

Fully agree.

Same goes for Gyor against Metz and Vardar avainst FCM. All 3 fixtures will be decided after the first leg.
The only interesting duel would be FTC vs CSM

Their spring was impressive, but this time they dont have an essential fighter like Rodrigues who plays her best on the knockout matches. Torstenson is from the same material, that is true and Gullden is vital too. But I do not see last years power on this team.
About the luck: Gyor had half of the squad unavailable, and in the semi they lost even Harsfalvi which meant Gorbicz was unable to play in the middle + Groot injured her leg too and had to play injured on the decisive game.
So yes, they had luck with the ETO injury avalanche.

Having 40 - 45 % doesn't mean you just have no chance to win but to win only on some favourable circumstances like an outstanding day of goalkeeper or inspiring shots, tremendous defence.....
