I don't know. But this place is for Asia and if Hongkong declines, Thailand will be invited. Teams from other continents come under cosideration only if both HKG and THA refuse to take part (then, a non-standard IHF decision should be made).

The IHF announces that the Thai Handball Federation has said yes, but the final confirmation from the National Olympic Committee is missing. The policy has asked the Thai Olympic Committee whether the country's handball women intend to stand for the qualifying tournament in Montenegro, but no response has come.

A spokesperson from IHF says that Thailand is the last Asian country to be offered the seat and that it will then go to the best continent at the 2019 World Cup.

The problem will be that.... anyone 'll have to go backhome together (hand in hand) with Thailand will be so humilliating ...that's the reason ' I called' Germany or Danmark. [let my hopes stand alive...so, don't give up Germany and Danmark !]

Probably Burcea hoped that Muntenegru will win first day ag. Norway and so will be more pressure on northern team on match ag.us ...but if not (and I believe so) RO must play only 15 min gunnplayers in the end of match ag. Norway, and take the full risks only in third 'dead or alive - match' .

If Radicevic will be stopped (may be the reason of calling Tanasie) we can win even Neagu will scored 4-5 from action/match...
....and by the way, who can be refeeres...does anyone risk a bet

If Țicu can play like Buceschi, we can definitely also stand a chance against Norway. Or least 70-80% of Eliza to be, plus the right back to deal better (Ilie or Savu, I hope Ilie). Now we have a RB shooter. The bench will also have to help us now, and honestly the bench is short now due to the Brașov missing players.

Laura Moisă? This is important. We have 4 good LWs in the national pool, 5 with Tănăsie, solid goalkeepers and solid RWs if both Moisă and Seraficeanu will be in the squad. I would still select also Udriștioiu, maybe we will need a RB of that type. She can also play as a right back.

I am not sold on Pristăvița though and I do think the experience of Dache is limited. There might be better playmakers in the national league. But will be Abed Kader used there too? Because she can play 3 positions, including left wing not just her initial pivot. I am also not sold on the left back reserve, we must see.

In my opinion Romania has one of the top 3-4 squads in the world, when the Corona players will also reunite. There with Russia, France and Norway. Better than Nederland in my opinion.

With the right coach we would have fought for the gold already.

They wouldn't be a member of the IHF, hence not allowed to play NT competitions without being organised as a federation
Also, they already took part in a World Championship, recorded 2 wins and finished 21/24.
