Re: Transfers 2019/2020
I am very sad and disappointed, she is in top form recently, helped a lot to end up 3rd in Main Round.

Melinda Szikora (GK) also joins Siófok.

Typical new-rich club, with no results...or maybe they win EHF Cup this year.

Re: Transfers 2019/2020
I know that I'm off-topic and the moderators can feel free to move my question to whatever part of the forum they think it's proper but, what are the main sources of financing for handball clubs in Hungary? I'm talking about both female and male handball. You guys got ETO, FTC, Siofok and a couple of other female teams as well as Veszprem, Szeged and Tatabanya for the male counterparts and all of them are doing quite well financially for a couple of years now.Corbantis wrote:Synchrony wrote:Seems like Siofok has a lot of money lately.

Hungarian tax payers.
In conclusion, I declare that EHF must be destroyed

Indeed. There is a controversial tax law than enalbles companies to write-off some of their taxes if they spent their money on clubs of designated sports that are considered...how should I translate it... 'spectacular sports'. This is an indirect way of financing clubs.
This law brings back a very much missed feature of the socialism when the main companies funded the clubs(but also provided the base for the sportspeople).
Siófok(or even Kisvárda) has an owner that is very much connected to the Fidesz party so they are in a good position to soak up much from these funds while other clubs fall behind.
FTC will soon get a very new hall and it will be the biggest arena in Budapest(over 15k seats)... So not even Fradi can complain.

Re: Transfers 2019/2020
Too bad Pena is leaving. She fits well in FTC.
Is money or Tomori or both the reason why she is leaving?
And what's the situation with Malovic? I don't think FTC is going to stick with her even as a reserve. With what she's been through i can't imagine any team would want her. I see her ending up in some mediocre team if she doesn't quit handball. Shame.

Somewhere I read that all these 3 foreigners will leave for sure: Malovic, Pena, Klikovac.
That is letting the team to have place for other 3 foreigners(like Stolle, Luzumova or Bölk).
I am sorry for them. I hope that Siófok is going to sign Malovic as they lost 2 of their 3 RBs but to be honest no one know in what shape is she now.
Anyway Siófok, honestly, made a good trade with switching Minko to Pena. Pena is a genius and if she has Kobetic, Tomori, Janjusevic, Böhme around her, perhaps she will seem even better than Minko ever did in Siófok.

Malovic will stay apparently. The THC transfers are probably b*llshit.
The trouble is that the club is very uncommunicative.
Re: Transfers 2019/2020
Bolk had other attractive offers and she rejected them because she had strong reasons to stay in Germany. So, if by any chance she didn’t change her mind she will stay in THC.
FTC is risking too much with Malovic. I’m sorry for her but she hasn’t played two consecutive months in the last 5 years without some kind of injury. And she mostly has a serious one.
And if Klikovac leaves FTC for some mediocre team like Craiova then she is out of her mind. FTC is using all of their players so i think she would have a decent playing time there.

Actualy she(Klikovac) has a point. She needs to have playtime in order to get to the top form and no one in the world would say she has the top spot next year in the pivot position at FTC.

Klikovac said, she wants 60 min playing time. With her knee...in modern handball...does not sound "serious" imho.
