Also I am not sure how motivated will the key players be: Kobetic, Pena, Tomori.
FTC is the team of the future on the other hand.
Anyway it seems Siófok will defend the EHF-cup.
If they don't have motivation then they should quit handball or just play for an amateur team.
Also, don't be so sure they will win the EHF cup.. Odense have a pretty strong team and a great backline.. better than most of the teams in CL. They are well covered in every position.
Yeah, I'd be glad to see a Siófok-Odense final.
Regarding motivation it is indeed a thing. And just look around these days: Broch, Groot, Pena, Gulldén, Löke, Khmyrova,...
It seems like the players don't live for handball any more, but rather live from it. If they get tired(and they get so easily) they just quit, stop playing, switch to a few divisions down or escape to maternity.
Siófok looks like a perfect cozy nest from this perspective where Tomori and Pena can finally be together, Jezic and Böhme too, Kobetic can quickly drive to Zagreb, Gnabouyou and Damjanovic could wait 'till get knocked up, where Nina Wörz could stay close to her liebling Susann Müller, etc.
I am not saying that this is a problem but it will prevent the club from stepping above a certain level, that is for sure. They can spend all the money in the world but unless they have 'hungry' players it simply won't work out.
