Stefan_MNE wrote:According to Podravka's website, the match has been postponed "due to the overall COVID-19 situation in Romania". Podravka even offered to host the game, but Valcea declined as they "could not arrange the travel on such a short notice".

What I don't understand is how Romania is all of a sudden problematic, while matches continue normally in countries with a much higher infection rate, such as Montenegro, France and Russia.

It's more a regional issue here. The local authorities decided to enforce some restrictions as far as I read.
Please bear in mind that Romanian League (female) has not started yet, and the male competition is almost in collapse with a lot of positive testing after the first tournament which took place a while ago. What I don't understand is why only men had to play until now. Maybe they are using them as lab rats  . Imo that was a big fail.

Live long and prosper.

Next Saturday, the Vipers will go to Russia to meet Rostov. But the southerners have applied to have the match postponed.

- As it looks at the moment, I do not see how we will play that match, says Terje Marcussen, general manager of Vipers.

Match "Rostov-Don" - "Vipers" postponed

The European Handball Federation has decided to postpone the match of the sixth round of the DELO EHF Champions League group stage between Rostov-Don and Norwegian Vipers.

This meeting was scheduled for October 24th. However, the Norwegian club appealed to the EHF with a request to postpone the match. This is due to the fact that upon returning from Russia, "Vipers" had to go to strict ten-day quarantine.

The European Handball Federation went to meet the Scandinavian team. The new date for the match will be determined later.

All tickets purchased for the game remain valid. If for some reason you want to receive a refund, you can do this in your personal account at bilet.rostovhandball.ru.

Both of the Dortmund-Győr games will be held in Győr.

I find this very unfair to the other teams, but I'm not surprised.

Gyor asked that both games against Buducnost be played in Podgorica but Buducnost will probably pass on this opportunity as it’s too much for them in just couple of days  (whatever that means)

On the other hand it’s not too much for them to play against Valcea 2 matches in Podgorica and they are hoping that Valcea will accept although they are sceptical because it’s do or die for Valcea and they will want to play at home.

- The protocol has been changed. This means that Rostov can come here this weekend if they can. There was a surprising turnaround yesterday, which is confirmed today. International matches can be carried out on certain conditions, says Terje Marcussen, general manager of Vipers.

Rostov played already in Bucarest Thursday 19, it seems difficult for them to play also against Vipers in Norway Saturday 21, a little bit utopic

Apparently the game between Krim and Esbjerg has been postponed once more due to covid19.

No not really, but it says so in one of the articles in the local paper about yesterday's game. Alledgedly Krim has 10 cases of Covid

But the game doesn't appear on Krim's webpage, so I guess it's true

Ok. W T F
