ofcourse i'm a Podravka fan so I can't against my heart! But i thing that we can do a lot....Last year we played in final vs. Larvik, and in that Larvik Nynberg was there, and ofcourse they win. On WC Tatari showed that she can assist and score, Pasicnik is world class player, and we have superb wing Golubic & Zebic. And the best thing is that all girls is approximately young. This year it gonna be very intresting!

I think Podravka has a good chance of winning it this year. I hope they do it but it won't be easy.

My vote goes for Ikast, pity they are not in the Champions League this season.

My vote goes to PODRAVKA. I think they are capable to do it.

Ikast is also one of the candidates for final, and although they had stronger team year ago, they are the team which fights untill 60th minute, and they do that great!

Ikast are weakened this season, so they wouldn't stand a chance in the CL. I do think they have a better chance than anyone else for winning the EHF cup though.

Yes, they have had a bad season so far, but a lot of this has to do with injuries. Hopefully and most likely they will show better form soon.

Next season though - watch out! The Scandinavian ALL-STAR team will be very strong.

They only have Katja and Blanco from next season. Besides, both Gro and Katja are injured.

Karin Mortensen won´t play in the first match against Nordstrand, because of a back-injury. Hopefully she will be ready for the return leg in Ikast next weekend.

That means Camilla Eriksen is first choice, and even though she is said to be a great talent she has showed none of that yet. So a huge advantage for Nordstrand. Despite this I doubt Ikast will struggle to hard against the Norwegian team.

A question to the Germans on the forum. How do you see GOG Svendborg´s chances against Nürnberg? Is Nürnberg on the same level as Leipzig or..? I know they have some great players such as Ofenböck, Simakowa, Srznka, Strass, Blacha and Tobiasz, so they look pretty fierce.

the first seven of nürnberg is a strong force. the backcourt ofenböck-christenau-simakova plays together for quite a while and they co-operate quite perfect. with these three it is usually christenau who sets the pace. she is to me the 'brain' of nürnbergs play. after these thre is a gap - that srnka didn't seem to be able to close yet. rohde and rösler are younger players and are not yet able to play on the level as simakova and the others - so the question is whether the ladies will be able to keep up the pace. but whenever i saw them, they were...
blacha is another experienced player; i have to admit that i never liked her play as i think she is not co-opertaing efficently with other players. barbara strass is always good for some fast-breaks and some goals, although she doesn't look like it. engel is fighting with tobiasz for the no1 place on rw and i see fcn strong there.
i have to recheck if gubova (2nd gk) is back in the squad, she was injured.

ofenböck seems - according to recent news from nürnberg - back on track, as she was injured and sick in december / november. so the squad will be complete and is fit.

some danish members of the forum there?

Nordstrand - Ikast 24-38(12-18) :D

No need for worries even though Karin Mortensen and Line Daugård didn´t play. It seemed that Kari Anne Henriksen played great and was topscorer with 10 goals.

Nürnberg - GOG 12-13 at halftime

So far a great Danish day...

Kari Anne Henriksen was outstanding and she said that this maybe was their best performance this season. Nordstrand was very, very poor and this confirmed their lack of form. Has lost the 3 last matches in the league and are not a topteam anymore. Playing with a lot of juniors and they are just not ready to play at this level. Walkover in Denmark next weekend.
