Fun fact:

All Scandinavia is in the semifinals:

1) DEN (Rasmussen)
2) SWE (Ryde)
3) NOR/ISL (Hergeirsson)

The Netherlands is a gem of a team. Sheer joy to watch 'em playing. Is it too much if I say they perform sort of a symphonic kind of handball? Anyway, I just love it!

Netherlands is fantastic.
A real classic it could be them vs Norway of Nora Mörk. But against Romania of Neagu would be also great + it would give us the most interesting battle for the 7th place ever.

Their last two losses in knock-out round were both high scoring matches.

Congrats! Great match. One of the most beautiful matches I've ever seen. Unfortunately for us we lost, but I'm proud of our girls :)

It's actually now a problem that scandinavian coaches goes to eastern europe to coach, as they have so many good players there...and then we might not win a single medal anymore...

This was Neagu's shot at 23-22 for ROU, when instead of 24-22, it became 23-23

Also, these Slovenian ''referees'' have assisted 4 matches of Norway's during this tournament, of which the last 2 ones were consecutive. How is that possible? This has never happened before

from where did these two Slovenians appeared? Lah and Sok? out of nowhere! no experience to lead such a game yet. I felt that Norway had at least 4 pro-actions in plus than Romania.

we played extra-time too before and now why always advantage to the best?

if you ask me, Denmark was better than Norway, and now wonder it clearly surpassed Montenegro by 8 margin.

physically, the Norwegians don`t deserve the title.

you can be proud, but we lost the gold. I`m not satisfied, a chance is a chance. after Tadici k**f up 2-3 tournaments because of a loss.

Neagu's goal wasn't the mistake that made me mad. Others made me :in simillar situations we got attacking foul while Norway got 7m.

But ignoring the refs, I'm really proud of our girls. They played great and they had that fighting spirit which we needed. We always had quality players, but our mind killed us very often. We are on an ascending tract regarding the mental aspect. Congrats, Romania, and I really want that Bronze medal :D

Just to put out a better picture than eduardsson's, so people can make up their mind whether they think it's a goal or not. The angle is definitely not ideal.

From this angle this is not a goal for me. But I am neither a referee nor a Romanian.

Congratulations to the Romanian team, they played fair and well.

That 2 minute penalty of Nechita I did not understand anything of. She hardly touched Herrem on that fast break attack. But Molid got 3 cheaps 2 minutes and red card too. The refs were doing many mistakes.

Romania probably won the period they were 5 vs 6 anyway since Norway cannot handle to play with one more

Norway always had the referees against Romania, they felt we are dangerous for them. before, we didn`t have a coach and now Lah and Sok without experience got a second game between Norway and Romania in this competition. I don`t know how it`s possible! in other sports clearly not...

HOUSE REFEREES of Norway, they also whistled NORWAY-Montenegro. HOW THE k**f? note that Norway in groups against Romania also needed a win after the loss against Russia.

simply outrageous! Hassan Moustafa is embarassing himself.

I mostly agree with this, except I don't think Ungureanu should be anywhere near the all star team.
If they want to honour Poland as well, maybe Kocela on LW, she's done a nice job.

and don`t get me wrong, I respect Norway. probably also future world champion. there are no accidents in its record.

but somehow sometimes it gets favours. now I don`t know if somebody from Norway has influence, or there are simply the decisions of the bodies. maybe a less empty hall was wanted in the final.

Well, I'm not a drinker but I just drunk a bottle of whiskey alone. A defeat like this one is hard to chew. Although the referees have played their dirty part, I don't think it's the right time to dissect it. Norway won it after a beautiful play and we lost it after an equally beautiful play. I mean no disrespect for the Netherlands, but we've just watched the real final. It had amazing handball, extra time, chills & thrills, it was nothing less than "Dr." Hassan Moustafa and his bunch of losers would have ever dreamed. It was the diamond already polished.
I bow in front of Cristina Neagu and her teammates; GIRLS, I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
While the bronze is not shining like gold, a medal is still a medal where mighty others have failed. Girls, please don't fall into despair! Fight like you fought tonight and get the bronze! It's there and it's yours!

Congratulations to Norway and LOVE to Romania!

@Joana: is there any chance to hope for a draw in the match between the famous 4 Serbian players vs. Bošković? I think we all missed the real Serbia in Denmark... :(
