She retired...

Back again with Esbjerg: https://www.europamester.dk/norsk-verde ... m-esbjerg/

I don't get all this jumping around teams...

18. January 2017
Marit Malm Frafjord was Wednesday the first one to extend his contract with Larvik HK. Now there will be at least another two years in LHK costume for stroke player.

Merely 8 weeks later:

Amanda Kurtovic and Marit Frafjord will move to Bucharest for the next 2 years.

Welcome Amanda !
Welcome Marit !

Then 'retired' already a year later. :-k

Personally ,I would wish Amanda come back and CSM offer her a prolonged contract but "Jorgensen case" precedent, is an obstacle to this (unfortunatelly) .
Wish a Merry Christmas to all members of this forum ! :)

Another Swede ends her career at a relatively young age. This time, quite surprisingly perhaps, Jenny Alm of Copenhagen and the Swedish NT.

https://kbhbold.dk/anfoerer-alm-vender-hjem-til-sverige/?fbclid=IwAR3ICxNey7fYO7ueQqK81nL-gjytZhnedE5t38N1k1hvec-GjJEehaFJC1Y

To quote her motive, she wants to move back to Sweden with her boyfriend and see "what life has to offer besides handball".

Melinda Geiger stops her career with immediate effect, she has knee problems and does not want to wait till the end of the season, so as a mutual agreement with Siofok, they broke her contract.

it seems now it's the right moment for her. it's the first time she actually confirms her rumored retirement. in this video she states she will keep away from handball for a while.
congrats for your career and good luck, Oana!

Camilla Dalby played the last match in her career yesterday, when Randers avoided relegation. It sounds like she doesn't rule out a comeback at one point though: http://sport.tv2.dk/haandbold/2019-04-1 ... idste-kamp

Another player from the "golden" 1988-89-generation who won pretty much everything at junior and youth level. Was it three times gold and one silver?

Dalby, Augustesen, Lyksborg end their careers this season. Gitte Andersen, Susan Thorsgaard, Lærke Møller already gone as well. So we have Sandra Toft, Line Jørgensen and Kristina Kristiansen left pretty much. Not mentioning the more marginal players of the team who have all retired, except Stine Bonde (Silkeborg).

Alena Ikhneva?

During the Croatian Cup final, the commentator said she wants to join his boyfriend, who is a basketball player in Turkey.
The end of her career is one of the options, he said.

Lucia GUBÍKOVÁ (1992; gk; SVK NT; last club: Mosonmagyaróvár/HUN) called it a career due to continuing health problems.

One of the biggest talents in the history of the independent Slovakia women's handball with her top moments at the EURO 2014 ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBWOT0sljR0 ).
