Don't really know where to put this, since we don't have league topics in the Male subforum.

Chekhovskie Medvedi won the league in Russia yet again. No surprise here. What's interesting is that the second placed team is Spartak Moscow, which lost the final to Chekhovskie after finishing twice 31:31 in the regular season.

Any info from members connected to Russian handball about the Spartak project. Besides Medvedi, Russian handball was usually focused around St. Petersburg, Volgograd (Kaustik) and Krasnodar (SKIF). What's up with Spartak and how serious are they?

Oh, and it seems today they're playing the Cup final against Medvedi.

Mackovsek (Slovenia) signed for Veszprem. Veszprem relying on Slovenian power.

I wonder if Veszprem and Pick Szeged are going to (re)join the SEHA League?

Manuel Montoya is the new coach of the Romanian NT, occupying the seat vacated by Xavi Pascual.
As opposed to his predecessor he will be a full time coach of the NT and I suppose, he'll be based in Romania.

Statements from the press conference can be found here. Just use google translate: https://www.handbalvolei.ro/manuel-mont ... nationale/
