Maybe they have made a financial deal with fredrikstad to split the costs making it cost less for Both teams, or maybe they had problems with the hall

I don't like that both Dalfsen and VOC have given away their home rights. 2-3 years ago they were doing very well (yes, with better players maybe) in european competitions at their home grounds.

Looks like no one told Dalfsen that there will be a livestream :-k : https://www.facebook.com/MJTophandbalDa ... =3&theater

(Usually the games listen on handballtv.com are certainly broadcast)

No suprises in the first round.

The dutch team are really poor

Nr 1 in Netherland VOC lost 50-67 to number 1 in Slovakia (Iuevnta Michalovce)
Nr 2 in Netherland Dalgsen lost 43-54 to number 6 in Norway (Fredrikstad)

Hope to get some suprises in the second round

Pity Zalău-Dortmund is not televised. Anyway after Vâlcea (on Digi 2) we will have CSM in Germany (Digi 1).

Do you know if the 2nd leg of Măgura Cisnădie-Slavia Prague this Sunday is on TV?

There are a few of the usual EHF-Cup streams on ehftv for this weekend - but slightly more unusual that NFH also streams their game: https://www.ehftv.com/int/livestream/ny ... ce/1361207

The pots I have for the final preliminary round are:

Esbjerg
Lada
Lublin
Craiova
Erd
Bera Bera
Jagodina
Banik Most
Ikast
Valcea
Dunaujvaros
Besancon

Storhamar
NFH
Magura Cisnadie
Kuban
Siofok
BVB
Issy
VHK
Zvezda
Metzingen
Hoor
Guardes

Tomorrow we'll see if we got the pots right. But yes, EHF's procedure of seeding the ChL teams makes the whole seeding process useless. Also, don't know how Eurocup regulars like Zvezda, VHK and Paris can be unseeded and a first timer like Valcea is seeded.

Contrary to popular belief, Pot 2 doesn't necessarily have to be a bad place to be.

They lost players and many young girls of Tadici had 0 goals out of several tries. In frunte with Berbece, of course, who was "pe pile" in the NT instead of Laura Chiper!

Anyway, I didn't count at all on Zalau, but I am counting on Valcea, and I also hope for Magura Cisnadie and Craiova.

Zalau was our weakest team in Europe.

And I didn't! :)
Here's the right pots over here: http://www.eurohandball.com/article/31483
Pot 2 looks really strong! Only 5-6 tougher teams in Pot 1. So we'll have about 5-6 very tough matches in the final round.

So there can be even two DEN-DEN games, there can be HUN-HUN, ROU-ROU and RUS-RUS games, but no ESP-ESP, FRA-FRA or GER-GER matches. Conspiracy theories are welcome :D

With 4 danish teams the odds are high.

In round 2, we already had:
NOR-NOR : Storhamar / Byasen
HUN-HUN : Vaci / Siofok
FRA-FRA : Nantes / Paris

And we are waiting for the 'classico' (3 years in a row) : Erd / Paris (formerly known as Issy Paris Handball) ;)

It's just sad there's no protection until group stage. #-o

EHF are k**f idiots, they should make a system in which the top of the league ranking to play against the bottom.

I disagree. Any kind of ranking system is the politically correct name for cheating.

Well, in turn, I will also disagree with you :)
A ranking system is supposed to do exactly this - rank your teams. Seeding is only meant to modify your drawing probas, which is not a bad idea. Avoids ending up with Salerno, Jagodina, Zug and VHK (just random names) in the semis.

Take a look in the history of the competitions when draws had ONLY geographic criteria until the later stages and teams from USSR, Hungary, Yugoslavia or Romania were clashing very early, while teams from France, Spain, Holland (which at that time were quite amateur) were reaching further stages only to get thrashed when playing Scandinavian teams or Eastern ones.

What doesn't look good is the criteria based on which they rank the teams, which are still not completely clear and still award too big of weight to teams from ChL QR, which are obviously not competitive enough (beyond 2nd placed ones).

EHF has done a decent job with restructuring itself over the past years, so maybe they'll have a closer look at this as well.
